Acacia "ACTG" Yahoo stock forums here ('http://finance.messages.yahoo.com/bbs?.mm=FN&action=l&board=7080497&tid=acri&sid=7080497&mid=22636')

Tomorrow, their Q3 earnings report will be made public.

From what i can see from financial boards, investors seem to expect some big results based on the announcements of signing Hustler, Vivid, Wicked and the rest included in the "47" that signed agreements.

Should be interesting to see what happens and what the reaction from investors will be.

I have been following the stock a little, all I see is a bunch of hot air, and a LOT of pumping from a lot of anons. I have seen it before with certain pump and dump schemes.

Funny that some of the people who signed were invovled with similair "pump and dump" schemes...

Wonder if they just improved their techniques?

i have been thinking about it too.

what could be more ironic than for porners to profit from their collapse right before the patent gets invalidated?

Wonder if a handful of companies who licensed recently will be listed in the report. I know they have been trying to be low key about it...........

It will be too early to show the Hustler, Vivid, Wicked results. But it wil make it much easier to gauge what these people are paying when the next quarter results are shown.

Best thing is to get on the shares boards and post links to the threads that show the figh they have on their hands. Good patent or useless one, the investors will not like seeing what they are up against.

Acacia's patents start in '89... wouldn't the patents held by the company talked about in this following post automatically give trouble to Acacia's patents, since theirs date back to '87?

I think you meant Burst.com;s patents started in 1989.

I looked at their patent briefly..and sent the link to IMPA...haven't received feedback, but i am sure they will know how to address it.

It's a great question you asked, one that have wondered about myself...in that if Acacia did their homework, did they find this patent, or miss it?

That's a big "if", lol.
Berman claims that they spent hundreds of thousands on prior art research, but I don't believe him. If they had, they'd be parading around these patent researchers and college professors as if they were superstars - it would only help the "join us or die" mantra. :)

And being that they're patent lawyers you'd think they'd have taken the time to look at pre-existing patents, but then again you'd think the patent office would do the same

I'd say there's still some room for long before short in there, you've probably got time.

You would think they were patent lawyers, but I believe that Berman is not.

What the patent office granted and what Acacia INTEPRETS their patent to mean today, are two different things.

A fun read about the absurd language they used in the patent can be found at: http://www.FightThePatent.com/v2/Teleportation.html

It will be entertaining to read, and not too bad on the bad language.

Some of you have maybe even gotten the same letter, but it seems Acacia is getting our personal info from affiliate programs and contacting us for royalties.

The companies that settle are providing this info.
