LOL! Saw this review on TechTV the other night about a computer game made by Brits. Some weird kind of "Ghetto Soccor" where competing American gangs (oh yeah) "duke it out" playing soccor on a concrete basketball-type field.

They said the one American "hood" leader was named Giles. LMAO! They then told whoever wrote it to get a bleeping clue!! :stout:

You would have fitted in well with the hoards of drunken Pommies staggereing all over Sydney late Saturday night (and the game was held in Perth!)

Can't begrudge them a little celebration though... poor poms dont win sporting contests very often :P

You can see what Scotland is doing to the USA team live right here if anyone likes :P

Now that makes it seem like we beat a complete unknown... but don't forget we kicked South Africa's ass as well.... and they know how to play rugby... just not against us lately :P

I may have partaken in a beverage or two in celebration :D

With the Rugby World cup, the Cricket recently and Euro 2004 next year, it's looking like England are finally beginning to learn how to play all those games we invented all those years ago :yowsa:

Yeah ra ra the poms and good on em... the supporters sure do come out of the woodwork when the team starts winning too!!

It's actually good to see all the Northern Hemisphere teams making it a proper competition again all around!

Although I can't believe Italy is still in with a chance to progress.. love to see them smack Wales and make it to the next round!

full time for the Eagles... Scotland beat the USA 39-15 ... pretty good effort though.. I bet Scotland would think that was a lot closer than they would have hoped.

Quite frankly, the USA sucked. I was rooting for them (in the American sense of the word...not the Australian...lol) but it was all to no avail.

They had numerous penalties close to their try line but opted every friggin time to take the 3 points rather than taking a kick for touch or a scrum. At 12-15 points behind, they could have come close to winning had they had the guts to go for the try line.

Highlight of the game was a naked Scottish supporter being escorted out by the cops. :agrin:

Rugby would be one of the few sports American's aren't good at...

and the only sport in which a tiny island such as Fiji could beat the USA!

Real Football bah to you Trev! ;-)

Soccer is mostly played so crowds can come together to drink, sing and have some biffo

Gridiron is mostly played so advertisers can come together to sell shit

Rugby Union is almost only played so the boys can go for a drink afterward.

and Rugby league was an attempt to make Rugby like Gridiron.

Which one sounds the most real to you? :D

Went to Australia vs Romania.
Although Aus destroyed them, i did notice the romanian fullback was an excellent player. Did anyone see that catch he took hanging over the sideline?
