ONLINE PORN IS GETTING MORE OFFENSIVE
The deputy assistant attorney general in the Criminal
Division of the U.S. Justice Department has told the Senate
Judiciary Committee that the proliferation pornography and
the desire by pornographers to differentiate themselves in a
highly-competitive market have prompted pornographers to
produce ever-more offensive materials. Judiciary Committee
Chairman Orrin Hatch singled out P2P networks as the most
harmful purveyors of online child pornography.

I agree!
Even if it's the same niches that were there before (cumshots, ass to mouth, etc.), there is certainly a new "bar" set that is way more offensive than it used to be. Teasers have become two-minute graphic explicit hardcore movies for anyone and everyone to see, and paysite tours have gotten to the point where surfers don't even need to go inside to see the money shot.
Just offhand, the bukkake sites - sick fucking shit. Tours of nothing but girls with their faces so coated in cum that you can't even see their facial features. I stopped even accepting those galleries at my TGPs, just looking at them made me want to hurl.

Yeah the reality is, competition is forcing a lot of people to push the evelope....
A lot of the chocking, vomiting, pissing, and stuff like like this is going to get the industry in more trouble - and make it easier for the do-gooders who want to destroy the industry, to be successful.

I agree that the tours give away too much for free now...without age verification.
Wonder what others think?
I reckon it would be a hard course of action to defend.

I think it is a case of goin to far because you think if a little is good, then a LOT is even better
Chocolate syrup on ice cream (everything comes down to food with me)
a little is a nice addtion, these people would flood the bowl with it, and thats just nasty.
I really think people should avoid promoting these types of sites, police ourselves kinda thing, before Ashcroft gets his way.

The scary part of that article, is that the don't seem to make any differential between porn and child porn...
I think many right-wingers lump us with the child pornographers to further their cause....

Well on an eternally hopeful note, at least those idiots out there pushing the envelope with the extreme sites will be the first ones targeted.
Perhaps by the time the courts are done with them, we'll have come up with... I dunno... something to make things better. A working AVS, perhaps?
Although sites like that tend to make the lawmakers have knee-jerk reactions and slam down blanket restrictions on everyone. :headwall:

That is their strategy, always has been on the far right. They know that Americans are becoming more and more tolerant of porn, either on line or in video stores
so whenever they make a move they through down a first strike of 'protect the children' and then counter with some obscure statement about the proliferation of child porn. They ALWAYS lump the 2 together, this way if you defend porn, they put you in the position of looking like your defending CP or dont care about children.

Yeah Mike. I agree.
I believe there is an action up here pending over Sweet Entertainment Group.
Just My opinion ,but there defence seems to be "the laws of canada are wrong".
Never seen that defence work in a court yet.
They are still in production though I think.

Please don't start lumping this with the "far right" or the "Republicans". I've been saying forever that it's not a political thing, it's a PORN thing.
You tell me one lawmaker in Congress - Democrat OR Republican - that will stand up in front of the American public and declare that women getting dicks shoved in their asses and then straight into their mouths is something good and wholesome that anyone of any age should be able to view freely.
It's not gonna happen.
The sooner people realize that NEITHER political party is an advocate for porn, the better.

I would agree, but I also think you could find some that would be willing to say there's a difference between a woman getting a dick shoved in her ass and the same happening to a 10 year old girl...
I'm still rooting for Ashcroft!!!!
The adult on line entertainment industry will never clean it's self up of it's own volition
So let the governments of the world come in and knock a few asses down

I agree Vick.
Gonna happen on lots of different levels.
I think people will have to locate themselves according to there niche.
Spammers better not be based in UK, Italy or , soon , California.
Extreme Hardcore porn is probably not a good idea to produce in Canada
etc
Shame Bolivia is having riots ;-)))

The thing is Vick, some of the governments will refuse to step up and knock anyone down.
Let the major guys do it, and the smaller governments will start reaping the monetary rewards of having these extreme companies located in their countries.
In the netherlands, bestiality is legal. They're not going to outlaw anything. Hell their tax income from The Hun alone probably makes them wet just thinking about it.
And meanwhile the honest folk who run non-extreme sites are going to be suffering - I sure as hell ain't moving to another continent just to be able to sling porn.

It always make me chuckle when people say we need to police ourselves before someone does it for us. It's NEVER going to happen because there will always be people that will push the line to make money.
Did the steel industry regulate itself? How about the meat packing industry? Nope, that's how we ended up with things like unions, the EPA, etc. No industry voluntarily regulates itself. It's just goes against human nature.

Then you will perish.
Evolution...the fittest , strongest , the risk takers will survive.
You are edging close to saying " honest pornographers" ;-)))
I understand exactly what you mean...but it always sounds a little weird to me :)
ulfie,
I agree 100% .I used to think we could police ourselves ....years ago.
I then realised I'd only be willing to be policed , if I was the Police man. ;-)))
Its never going to happen.
What really needs to happen and IMHO will happen , is a lot of arrests.
There are too many people in the game with NO knowledge of the laws.No lawyers. That are not paying tax.
Get the amateurs out of the game will be easiest because of the reasons above.

To clarify a little...
In the begining of Netpond ,when I had ideals and wasn't the sceptical jaded webmaster I am now. You know , before I really started talking with Serge ;-)))
I wanted Netpond to educate people.
Why? I was concerned there were all these people doing online porn part time to make beer money , and yet they were IMHO risking there liberty by doing so for small rewards.
Hence why I insisted if netpond members were going to do this , they used consoles and blinds and didn't follow people saying "Consoles are bad , mkay"
We still have the same problem.Look at GFY.
All these people making a couple of grand a month ,are IMHO a perfect target for an Ambitious DA.
I think you are going to get the big "honest concerns"
-----The definition of honest has changed.Remember the shit I used to get for being a spammer?
Now everyone is doing it.And if they aren't they want it.
and total cockholsters who will find all the loopholes , and base there operations accordingly.
.,.. but hang on...I'm getting on a rant here!
;-)))

Forgive my ignorance, as I not in the adult industry, but I have dealings with a community that is constantly being attacked by the federal government on their witch hunts. They also wave the almighty Patriot Act as a means of persecution against the citizens that they said this law was supposed to protect from terrorism. Just a couple of weeks ago, the FBI got smacked on the hand by the Attorney General's office for twisting a section of the PA meant for ISPs, and trying to apply it to reporters.
Is there any one group in this industry that seeks out to protect your rights as a whole, or does everyone fight their own battles individually? Do they provide legal support and keep you up to date on the latest changes in legislature, so everyone is informed? Is there any group that lobbies on your behalf to protect your rights? If I were in this industry, I would be very concerned about attempts to consolidate typical pornography with child pornography.
I am always curious about legal issues, so I thought I would ask.

i see where some aspects of the biz need to be self-policed, i.e. hardcore outside of members areas, but on the other hand the content itself may be objectionable to some but is hardly obscene.
people talk about max hardcore and how he demeans the girls he shoots, but they probably have a pretty good idea what they are getting into before they work with him.
i think the old argument is valid about the difference between porn and violent movies or tv.
you can watch a lot of porn and never see anything as twisted as the torture scenes in mainstream movies. you want to talk about offensive?
i think this country is so fucked up mentally on so many levels that we'll never get it right anyway.

geekgirl ,
People have tried to form orgainisations for the common good , with very limited sucess , I believe.
There is no consensus amongst us all.
Hell you'd be licky to get 10 people to agree to a code of conduct.
It would vary by location etc etc etc

Offensive sites are good to say that those people who think that porn may lead to sexual crimes are right. Those offensive sites sure can do that. They are just giving weapons for those who want to fight the industry...
They are a threat to their own jobs and to ours. <_<
