When I was stark raving newbie, all of em gave me quite a few leads...

Hell, when I started working at my present job (August 2000) One of the things I made sure of with my immediate boss was that he wasn't gonna be on my case for reading the news from allofem.... Told him, quite honestly, that I got most of my heads up on viruses etc from the site....

So, I could care less whether someone compares it something akin to a cassette tape, vinyl, 8 track, 45, or even a good old 78... If you got something that works well....... Keep It !!!

Yes...he had 2 free hosts that made like $100k in like 2 months, so he got all of these prepaid deals and then disappeared. He left the two servers in my data center and we haven't heard from him since.

I think you are right...IBM sounds very familiar and I think I remember us talking about him......

I have come to realize the importance of getting to know others in the biz. Believe me for about 3 years (not long by all of yours standards, but long for me) I had my head in the sand. I remember when GFY first started, I joined at the urging of a friend of mine. I took a look, saw nothing but flaming going on, and went back in my hole. I'm not afraid of a good fight, but i want to learn/do business on the boards, not make enemies ya know?
I finally started posting on boards about 1 -1 1/2 years ago, and have learned a lot.

here comes the smoke up Oprano's ass

I like this board, this one will probably end up being my home as long as I am welcomed :) And Gonzo being full time is just an added bonus for me. Now I will just sit back and see what I can learn

What's funny about all this talk about Sparky is that I just talked to him about 2 weeks ago, and we were having almost this same conversation. He and I were talking about "whatever happened to so and so..." (mostly him asking me about various people). It was sorta funny hearing him name names that once were (or appeared to be) "big players" but no longer seem to exist!

Sparky is doing great BTW...living in the Washington DC area and has his fingers in more things than you can imagine.

Very smart man indeed, and extremely funny...

No - Catman was around 50 I think and lived in the midwest (MI?). Skitz was younger and originally was in NY, then moved to FL, got a divorce and may have moved back to NY.

Serge WE have gotten past our issues....

I do not remember seeing a post from Sharky saying YOU should not be friends with CG. You can, will, and always HAVE done whatever the fuck you want.

I think Sharky is just pointing out that he is a theif. Nothing more, nothing less.

You either have a lot of time on your hands today, or you must have got a peice of the list because you are protecting CG like a bulldog - on an issues that does not directly effect you.

Nah, I just know you have a hardon for Sharky, and love to jab him when you have the opportunity. This has been going on for awhile, I think its due to mixed communications.

You think he is not loyal, and has done some things that piss you off. Some of these things I agree with you....

However, in this case, I do not think there was anything directed at you, even veiled until you jumped in with both feet.

As far as neighbor - I have been friend with Sharky LONG Before I moved to Tampa. I like him and his family, and consider them friends. I will trying peeing on their lawn soon though!

Saints played well yesterday. The offensive coordinator finally open up the play book. Of course the results could be due to the fact the Atlanta realy sucks.

We will see next week how the Saints handle a better team. They are on a small win streak of 2 games - but they were against 2 of the worst teams in the league.

I am suprised how bad the Bucs looked yesterday.... and how GOOD the Cowboys seem to be. Goes to show that Coaching can go a long way.

As far as Sharky's HS football career, I dunno - I was not around back then.... I only met Sharky when he became an "internet guru"
