Uhhh ... I don't live in California, so I could give a fine flying fuck who is governor there.

Considering that Arnie was elected on a slate of promises that are going to be kind of difficult to keep (unless you have the ability to make the dead walk and never run out of wine), this may very well backfire on the Republicans. Not going to cut taxes or services indeed ... he's going to need more than special effects and a stunt double to pull that off.

Besides ... I think the games have just begun. The Republican recall campaign of Davis started about 4 weeks after he was elected. Care to take odds that the Democrats will break that "record"?

Well said PD,

Most ppl say they need to cut, cut, and cut some more to get that debt down.

so either cut schools, medical, raise taxes, etc.

He is fucked pretty much the same as davis was.

I agree with alot of ppl, even alot of repubs. Dick Armey, etc. Recalls are no good. Davis was elected fair and square. the repubs could of been smart and said let Davis stay in around 2004, now that might of hurt.

but Cal. has it's rules and laws, so be it..

they were commenting on this on CNN today.... about the speculation of the Democrats trying to sponsor a recall. the margins of victory were not so wide that this could not happen in relatively short time... they just need 1.3 million signatures or something like that. they could get this immediately since you have millions of voters that are not happy with what just happened.

anyway... California is the France of the US. Half controlled by socialists, half controlled by special interests... promising the best and delivering the worst with no means to pay for it except by raising taxes again and again and again and again and again... while the economy continues it's downward spiral.

I came up with a working solution to Calis money problems while watching the news last night.....

Main problem is that most of their big tax money came from a "capital gains" scenarion... So, when silly valley went bust, a lotta lotta tax revenue was lost....

Now, anyone who says they are going to raise taxes (property, incomes, sales or other) will be thrown out of office...

So, lets see... We need several billions of dollars and we can't raise any one's taxes... How do we do it......

A daily toll at the Mexican border for Mexicans to come into California to work... Let's say $2.00 a day....

Any Mexican Citizen that wants to work in California could get a state workers card allowing them to come into the state each day... Cali gets $2.00 of their daily wages..... Mexicans get to work.... Cali gains some control over the illegal alien problem.... No existing taxes get increased...

sarettah has a good plan there ...

But I still say we kick California out of the union (and make Canada the 50th state instead)

I just realized, they don't even have to issue a new workers card....

They just have to put some kind of indicator on their drivers licenses....
