System for remotely controlling an animatronic device in a chat environment utilizing control signals sent by a remote device over the internet
Abstract
An article including a computer readable medium having instructions stored thereon, which when executed, causes receipt of a control request from a first client for an animatronic device located on a second client and determining if the control request is serviceable by the animatronic device. In addition, the instructions also include sending the control request unaltered to the second client if the control request is serviceable by the animatronic device, and modifying the control request to a serviceable control request if the control request is not serviceable by the animatronic device.
Werent there tons of robotic cams in 99? I remember one chick on topcams in early 99 who had the cam you could rotate left and right. Amazing. He musta seen it and run to the patent office.

You'll go crazy reading them things ...... :zoinks:
Back when Acacia first staretd their crap and then SBC started their shit about "frames", I reads through ALL the patents involved and determined that:
Acacia had somehow patented television some 50 years after it hit the streets.....
SBC held patents on "letterhead"......
The current patents being approved seem quite vague and obtuse to me...

I remember a few years ago when Britishtelecom where going off on one saying they had patented the hyperlink...
I never found out how that went down <_<
Yup, those things will make your head spin. Too much vague language trying to cover all angles. :headwall:

I have just patented the process for shaving pubic hair with a razor.
Any person, male or female, who receives income and has shaved nether-regions will now owe me 2% of their gross income, being that it is impossible to determine how much of that income is directly attributed to the silky-smoothness of their privates.
You may pay lump sums in advance, just paypal to webmaster at gotkinky dot com.
I wonder if I can patent the process inhaling air through the nasal passages...
now that would be a money spinner

Damn! I don't blame ya, Serge. It took me many years but at this point I can actually read legalese (lawyer contracts, court opinions) and understand nearly every word. I can even understand most of the scientific bio abstracts and those pharamaceutal indication pamphlets (you know, the ones that are two pages long in 3 point type that come with medications), and many other "strange" things ...
Yet I look at these patent abstracts and I go cross-eyed!! :zoinks:
Btw I have just patented a device that filters and retains biochemicals at the molecular level especially but not limited to those from chlorophil emiting devices for the purpose of preventing physiological negative counterreactions and maintaining the integrity of individual organic health systems.
... In other words, I just patented nosehair. :agrin:

Guys, I do not want to dissappoint you - but Sig and I have both read them all, and we have NO clue what they mean. Patent attorneys are a special breed I guess....
It seems to me that the US Patent office has been manned by monkey the past few years, and have been approving all kinds of wide open ideas. I really think the Courts or the Congress needs to get involved and invalidate all these type of patents, especially those on the internet. Some of these are so wide open they cover everything, and if they were enforced could hinder the development of the internet and commerce.
Basicly the same reason Congress has refused to tax internet commerce, is the same reason they need to do something about this patents. The problem is, it is hard to go to your congressman and complain when you are in the porn business. Acacia knows this, and that is one of the reasons they chose this industry to target.

Ahahahahahaha!
Brilliant. I would like to license that invention for sure...
