I was so impressed after test driving a MayBach 57 that I had to post. :) I was always skeptical and considered it to be an S 600 on steroids but I must say, this car is beyond belief. From experience I can tell you that there is no single car with as much leather, suede, or wood as the MayBach.

Anyways, I don't want to sound like a commercial. I just wanted to express my thoughts for anyone who knows of this car.

TRULY AMAZING is all I can say :)

How many are you getting? :D

Seriously, I know you love cars, and have a lot of experience with them... did it perform/drive as nice as it looked?

I heard there are not many test drives going around, they set up virtual reality offices so people can view and pick out color combos....

I am jealous!

Mike, the car is a ROCKET. It reaches 430 torque at 1500 rpms. You tap the gas and you're hauling. The best torquing car I've ever driven. It goes 0-60 in 5.1 seconds and it weighs 6100 pounds. Forget about it, I'm a driver and this is a DRIVER'S car. That said, the back seat is PURE lux. I could see hiring a driver a few times / year to go special places with the lady. Grab a bottle of DP and warm up in the back seat ;)

Phantom - nope
Arnage - nope
Limo - not even CLOSE

This vehicle is the car of all cars. That is coming from a TRUE skeptic of it! :)

So does it qualify for the farm vehicle tax deduction? :)

Peaches - good damn question. The GVWR is even higher so it meets the tax code but I think that would be a hard sell ;) Hell of a nice write off though hehe

Haven't even seen one yet,.

I'm so envious. :(

I believe it has an option to have sunlamps ;-)))

Have you tried the Phanthom? If so what was it like? How did it compare?

I'm waiting for the Bentley GT :)

I love Bentleys and miss my old red one :(

Nick - Phantom has less wood, not as nice leather, less options, and the styling just isn't for me. The MayBach in person is 100x better than pictures and 1000x better than the Phantom period! :)

Now the Bentley GT - that is one bad ass machine! I bought a pre ordered spot from a good friend... I can't wait

That being the case, I can't wait to see the Maybach in the flesh , so too speak :-)))

In pictures it looks swett, though I have wondered about the two tone paint on some.

Yeah, I love the Bentley...in an unnatural way. ;-)

For some of us though the waiting period helps us get the cash together ;-)))

KC - I haven't commissioned the car.... yet. I'm still deciding if I am going to buy it. I spend too much on cars as it is!

I just really wanted to show how much I really like this car. I was so impressed seeing it in person. I thought it was just a pumped up S 600 but it is SOO much more! Lathered in leather, suede, and wood, and lather is such a good word for it :D

Brad,

I want the whole getup, hat, tux, all that if I get to pimp this thing around. Hell I pay him just to take his rides to the detailer.

how much does a maybach run? i've seen ads and been to the website... i just assumed it was more of a chauffer driven car. sounds like i was mistaken.

That's what I always thought, too. But from the way Marc describes the drive, you'd have to really love your chauffer to give him/her such a thrilling car to drive!

I think Marc should buy one and let us all "test drive" it in Vegas in January! :bdance:

Looks like an awesome car. Is it worth the price tag though?

Any pics of this beast?

Hooper - I would say the 18" longer MayBach 62 is a chauffer car, but the 57 is like driving a big lux sedan. The price tag is about $320,000 for the 57 and 30-60k more for the 62.

voodoo - check around the net, search on Google, you'll find tons of pics.

Marc -

You're going to get one! What's money when you can afford it? ;)

I think it sounds like a great gift to yourself for launching the video game! I'm still waiting for my copy BTW!! ;)
