Yes, they do! And as a die hard Red Sox fan regretfully acknowledge this. I hope and pray (figuratively) that tonight will go well and look forward to a great Sox – Yankees series.

As a Sox fan I have to believe that THIS could be the year. I think I cried during the 86' series.

You Yankee fans can do without another World Championship.

Go Sox!!!

What happens, IF and this is a big IF, the Cubs and Red Sox both manage to get to the World Series? Given that their both losers will they both win 3 games then the 7th game will go on for 100 scoreless innings until the comissioner declares there's no champ for this year?

If that happens their planes will probably crash into each other.

I am OH so tired of hearing that bullshit.

It is not Georges fault that the majority of baseball owners do not re invest anything into their teams.

This years luxury tax that is being split up goes where ? Into the pockets of the owners.

What a joke - the tax was pushed as an attempt to balance the playing field and make more competition between teams. Exactly how does that happen with no provision to invest the money into the team.

Everyone hates a winner - where was all the shit about Georges spending in the 80s ?

LOL,

I know that the axis the earth rotates on will probably spin horribly out of control should either of these teams stumble into a World Series victory.

The Yankees clearly rule MLB and they will destroy the Stank Sox this year and pound down the Marlins in the World Series. Your loser teams will always be loser teams.

Wow... things get rough around here during playoff time! Kewl!

It's nice to see a passionate playoff game like Yanks vs Sox - the fans love it, the announcers get excited about it... it's definitely not going to be ho-hum baseball.

Of course as a true Yankees fan for basically my whole life, I have to admit - as we all do when we're really being honest - how horrific it would be if the hated Sox knocked us off at the 11th hour. That would suck beyond belief!

So.... here's hoping the Yankees pull it off... slaughter the Sox as I know that they can do and go on to win another Series! *raises glass* To the Yankees! :okthumb:

Sox beat the yankees 9 out of 19 games
we out scored them
lower era
Does that look like they will pound us
and the yankee magic is gone my friend
they will not be champions this year
and Torre will be managing elsewhere
and Wells will be on Stern again

In other words, the Yankees beat the Sox 10 out of 19.

Yankees starting pitching spanked the Twins, Rivera looks like he's got his shit back, Sox are in for a quick 4 game blowout. And if you think I'm wrong, look at the Yankees record against Pedro. They're the only team that consistently kicks his ass.

But what's more, the Sox are cursed.

What yankees kick Pedro's ass?
not the 2003 yankees

We aren't expected to win
the yankees are hot
Damon is missing Game 1
We have our 3 starter, starting Game 1
Yankees have home field
We are tired
Yankees rested

Doesn't sound like a perfect series?
It will be an instant classic on classic sports
I heard the A's Sox game 5 is
Pedro owns Roger in Fenway

Buff my friend
My buddy looked up Pedro vs. Yankees
here it is
24 games
4 complete games
162 innings
125 hits
54 runs
10 homers
45 walks
216 K
9-8
2.88 ERA

hmm, looks like if he had more run support, he would have won more games
OH WAIT, this year, we set a record for slugging percentage
blowing away your 1927 YANKEES
We led the leage in almost every offensive catagory
hmmm

Meni:

1) Pedro's record of 9-8 vs the Yankees is just over .500 -- by far the Yankees play him tougher than any other team. Plus, that doesn't show how many games he started that the Yankees ended up winning after the pitcher of record changed. The point is that Pedro is almost a guaranteed win against most teams, but against the Yankees, he's not.

2) Batting records have become meaningless. The pitchers mound is lowered, the fences are in, the strike zone is narrowed, pitchers can't brush people off the plate as much, there are more teams and more watered down pitching talent, the bats are better, and above all the ball is completely juiced.

If Babe Ruth played today with today's sports fitness and the nature of the game as it stands now, he'd have a slugging avg close to 2.000 and probably 300 walks per season. He used to hit more homers in one season than your whole Red Sox team combined.

Hell, I'd take Ruth's rotted corpse over Manny any day.

Do you "yankee fans" live in the bronx?
or are you bandwagon boys
hard to cheer on a team with so many titles
red sox fans have character

we fill the stadium without a winner in how many years?
did you hear, "lets go red sox, lets go" in Oakland?
I did
and Pedro
look at the ERA
2.88 ERA
if you keep the yankees down to less than 3 runs a game
you are a prolific pitcher
he didn't get run support its obvious in his record
hey, we aren't suppose to win
we have nothing to lose
and thats the perfect set up

No I live in Jersey, and been a Yankee fan for the last 35 years. Good years and Bad - and believe it or not there were more bad in my tenure than good.

I have to give it to you though, it is tough to be a Red Sox fans, just going to the games is like the Spanish Inquisition, the seats in Fenway are too small for a 12 years old Asian girls ass to fit in them.

Tomorrow should be one for the record books,

It seems fitting that Clemens will pitch his final American League Game from the mound in Fenway.

(He might see the mound in the WS)

Tomorrow is the swing vote - my gut is telling me the winner tomorrow is in the Series
