Pyongyang up the yin yang. Now say they are finished reprocessing
spent nuclear fuel rods and are now making weapons.

What next?

they announced at the last summit that they were going to test a bomb.

i think they should.

the end of the Cold War was really anticlimactic. i feel the world owes me one nuclear armegeddon for all the sleepless nights i had in junior high.

Likely .. I don't think they are too happy with Syria either. But they wouldn't put up any fight anyhow. Not that Iran would be a huge challenge.

I find this interesting...we've been all over Saddam's jock about having WMD and here is North Korea touting the fact they have the bomb and they've mentioned before they'd use it and we don't seem as concerned...

maybe if North Korea had a lot of oil...or if there were some post-strike cleanup/re-construction jobs for Haliburton...........

I think Bush has spent an enormous amount of political capital on Iraq.

Without finding WMD's, pre-emption is probably dead.

I don't think it's oil at all. I think it's the lack of viable tactical options.

Yeah, it's not easy to drop 4 infantry divisions into South Korea w/o Kim Jong Il getting a little suspicious.

There's that ... and the whole annoying PR problem of the number of South Koreans that would be killed off in the event of war.
