Yeah, that's cool. About a decade ago, I took a class with Robert Crowder who wrote "The Psychology of Reading". He made the same point in his book which was published in 1982. Your example is really cool though.

the eyes and the mind are amazing...your brain has a sort of cache that fills in blanks with things you have seen in the past. So, you might not be actually seeing what you are looking at now as it is in reality.
