Looks to be a bit of a storm in a teacup.

Just watching CNN trying to blow it all up.

Talk about media hype......

We lost power here for about an hour
Winds about about 40 MPH and gusting higher, rain heavy at times
I'm in part of the dark green section about halfway up the Chesapeake Bay

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge has been closed to traffic

Hoping the storm stays on it's NW track, the worse part will pass me then

Getting ready to go storm chasing, time to take a drive and check things out

Was making dinner when the power whent out so I had to fire up the grill and finish dinner on the grill in windy/rainy conditions (what else would a man do) good thing I have a smoker style grill

i use to live in fl and of course we would get more hurricanes then one would like to see. the thing i remembered the most is the humidity accompaning the rain and all. i have really long curly hair so you can only imagine what that mess looked like (go ahead and laugh...i use to).

a hurricane up here (nyc/nj) is an enjoyable experience (this hurricane will be a tropical storm by the time any rain hits here; this would be the 2nd or 3rd i have been through in this area). it is so cool out it feels like it should be halloween; no humidity! i'm loving this...cool, breezy, all my windows which will open, are open.

sometimes mother nature can make a bad situation, good. :D

so far so good here

Power is out for many in the DC area and power is out in areas up to 3 miles from my house

Drove around tonight, lots of high winds and some periods of heavy rains

Lots of trees down and in the roads from the winds

Some flooding of the inner harbor area (tourist attractions) in Baltimore City

It's not good but could have been a lot worse

Edit - we might even see some sun here in Maryland tomorrow afternoon
