Anyhow, I've talked to some people in Europe who say that they feel a lot of content is being shot with these girls and that the organzied sectors are ramping up to do this. Just another corner in the market. Let's face it producing content overseas is an attractive and affordable option.

What are your thoughts as a webmaster or producer? Do you buy content from overseas? If yes, do you know your people? Finally, if you found out they were using slaves would you still buy from them?

I guess the problem is with how do you know..if you ask someone if they use slaves they aren't going to say yes and for all you know anyone anywhere could be using them.

I can't imagine anyone would knowingly endorse its practice by buying content like that. I'm sure its happening but we would have no way of knowing it.

Well you don’t unless you have a tight relationship with that person. It’s hard to tell. My advice would be to produce your own content or buy from reputable sources here in the US. If not slavery you must know that poor countries draw hordes of undesirable activity. Have you noticed the increase in adult content produced overseas? Do you have any idea what they pay these girls? Many are forced into prostitution. This is fact, not fiction.

It’s a catch 22 because as webmaster you want to make as large a profit as possible and that means watching your overhead which is content. Webmasters don’t want to pay what exclusive content is really worth so they shop around for deals and unfortunately it means going overseas. I have a few niche customers now who want me to shoot BDSM/Fetish for 5.00 a minute and that’s just unrealistic. Even at 7.00 a minute it can’t be done right. I enjoy directing niche content, it’s what I do but luckily I’ve got other business interest. If I had to rely on content as a primary source of income I’d starve. The sad truth is that they will find it overseas and not care how it was produced.

I still don’t know why large companies don’t produce content in-house or spend a little more and out source to producers that they’ve actually sat down with, seen their operation and know that everything is on the up and up.

Thinking that all the girls that do content in the US are happy thriving businesswomen compared to the overseas girls is a little naive.
Not every girl is Jenna Jameson.
Most of the girls are poor. Many get Aids and dies of strange gunshot wounds ;). A lot of them are forced into this profession (prostitution and porn) - maybe in a less violent environment - but very little of the girls that do porn went to study it in University.
Thinking that the girls in the US work in a loving and caring environment and do it for fun and therefore, unlike the poorer countries, is morally good to pay them for their work is not too convincing for me.

Note btw - that the trading in women into Israel (From russia and other former soviet union countries) as well as into other countries has little to do with content. Specifically with relation to Israel - afaik - Israel is not really a source for cheap content (correct me if I am wrong) mainly due to the fact that Israel is not as cheap as some European countries and therefore the content wouldn't be cheap.

To be honest - the main thing that bothers me in our industry is the content. I realize we are all into "business" but the content side, production and especially the "dark" side of it is bugging me at least a bit. I myself was never into producing content so I don't really know anything for a fact - so input from content producers is appriciated.

this is true. Here in Holland we get woman escaping and police find them daily.

The problem is that most of the time the girls get our of thier country via we call them loverboys.

Those are young men who know the family of the victim.

Once they get to the brothels , they are drugged, beaten and if not beaten or raped they are so afraid for their families at home they will not testify.

And it is not only girls but also children who dissapear.

Brothels in eastern europe are most of the time drugged young woman. And sometimes the girls are underage.

Here in NL this Month the police arrested people from Romania. And those people will be send home....most woman do not want to testify and in their own country it is hard to get the bosses behind bars.

Belgium and Czech are the route to traffic people.

I don't think that people are fully aware of the circumstances or perhaps they just don’t care. It’s easy to turn your head and pretend it doesn’t exist , just not give a shit at all or even worse know about it and contribute to it.
