Well, I took part in a small competition today.

Came in second. Lost to a 280lb plus monster via side choke.

Nice to get the first competition out of the way.

Hmmm,
JuJitsu is a unique and ok form of self defense...but my Chinese Sensai taught me the best form of self defense is "RunFu"...that means when someone wants to kick your ass...you RUN, you fool!

Peaches,

Thanks! No pictures, this was out of the blue. I was asked to fill the roster 4 days ago, my coach told me I wasn't ready for it. So I told my buddy who was the promoter I'd sit out and help with the Kid's grappling, 7 year olds. That was probably the best part of the competition, watching these little 7 year olds grapple. No chokes or joint locks were permitted, just them getting postional dominance, escapes, and holding their opponents down for 10 seconds to get points. A little girl won it all. She bested 5 other 7 years olds to take it home.

Back to my story, I was asked so many times if I was going to compete, I just said, screw it, I'll fight. I didn't bring a camera, though one of other competitors filmed it and said he'll shoot me a copy. Though it's only the championship one, where I lose. <_<

Soon as I get it I'll post it.

Anthony, as your financial advisor and the connoseur of Sergio Leone's
The good, the Bad and the Ugly -
take this assignment AND take assignments from those who wanna break Brad's neck
;-))))

by sheer number,
the second gig should be much more profitable

Thanks everyone! I got a second place medal, looks pretty cheesy, but I'm gonna frame it.

I think it is quite bad ass that you got the courage to do that. Must have been adrenaline pumping to say the least. I have always had the interest. I imagine if I start now I can be ready for the senior fights in about 20 years.

Actually, that's the part that's interesting Jesse.

No adrenaline rush. No nervousness.

The fights pretty much played out the same way I spar or practice.

Which is why GJJ or BJJ is the best imho. We train like we fight.

Ulfie,

I used to play Golf. I was terrible at it.

I'm good at this and learn really fast.

Well, I'm not much of a fighter but I can golf. At least we know we have a mutual area we can beat the crap out of each other in. Glad you're doing well and enjoying it. :)
