trev, dude you gotta get a larger screen
at least 17 or go for 19
trust me at those size screens everything will be so huge you'll end up going to higher resolutions in no time

and this is comming from a blind guy

I second that, Slavik!

I have been running 1600x1200 for a while now (on a 21" in the office, and a 20" TFT at home) and it's great! At that resolution you can even put two windows of 800 pixels wide next to each other!

And it's also great for looking at my hi-res holiday pictures! :rokk:

hmm.. I'm feeling well behind the times now, with my game-boy screen sized monitor :biglaugh:

I'm after a whole new system anyway so I'm going for the biggest screen my desk can hold :D

I am on a '19 inch and had a 21 for awhile previously. I think that anyone who is set up for 800 x 600 will have to scroll. First I used that resolution because I was always working on websites..... now It is just too much eyestrain to use 1024 x 768 as my monitor sets about 4 ft from me.

So, I guess if you don't want to scroll from time to time - 1024 is what you have to use.

I'm 1024 X 768 on a 17 in (It think - it's about 4-5 years old and I can't really remember what I bought  ) and sometimes I have to scroll.

Yeah it is time to get a new monitor.

At my house in NO I have a 19 inch Sony flat panal. I am running 1280 by 1024 which is not to tiny on it.

I have a 22 inch Dell flat panal in Tampa which is HUGE!!

I run my browsers at around 800x600 though - I like to keep a lot of things open at once. Only time I have issues with scroll left and right are
when I post photos.....

We need to get a bad ass monitor as a prize for the Pick'em contest. Nothing better then working on a top notch monitor!!

It happens to me as well and I'm on a 19 inch monitor at hi res. My suggestion would be have your coding guru Ed modify the script so that when someone posts a huge pic the frame for that post expands and the others remain the same size. That's what GFY and the other boards do and I would imagine it is a pretty simple fix. That way to only have to scroll to see the picture.

I run 1280 x 1024 on a 21" monitor, and I can't remember having to scroll on Oprano.

600x800 gives me a headache, even on a 17" monitor.

I'm at 1024 x 768. I would go blind at the resolution PD is at.

not a bad idea Ulfie - I'll have to see what I can cook up for that... maybe even just a 'maxsize' thing that will resize huge images... I'm in the same category as Porndoggy - 1280 is where I LIVE! <_<

In the meantime, DANCE YOU STINKIN BANANAS!!
