Whining Japs Forget They Started The War (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030809/ap_on_re_as/nagasaki_anniversary_2)
World War II ended when Japan surrendered on Aug. 15, 1945, six days after the Nagasaki bombing. The Nagasaki and Hiroshima ceremonies are among memorials held every year for Japanese killed in the war. Meanwhile, Japan continues to face many who remember very different aspects of its militaristic past.
Courts hear dozens of cases filed against Japan's government by Chinese, Koreans and other Asians who were conscripted as laborers, were victims of Japanese germ warfare or were forced to work as prostitutes in front-line brothels.
The government has denied any liability, saying postwar treaties settled the compensation issue.
We're too damn nice! Look at how Rome treated Carthage after they won the Third Punic War:
1. Killed all the men.
2. Sold the women and children into slavery.
3. Knocked every building down to the ground so that no stone stood upon another.
4. Killed all the livestock.
5. Tore up all the crops in the field, and sowed salt in the fields so that to this day nothing grows there. (The site of New Carthage is miles away from where the old one was.)
Now that's how you win a war. What's one little atomic bomb in comparison to that?
And guess what? Rome never had to fight a 4th Punic War vs Carthage!
