I believe in Karma. I've seen in action too many times. IMHO, it's why my ex with the 1590 on his SAT's and the 4.0 at GA. Tech is a bartender. B)

I must admit to laughing "with glee" when quite a few folks have been bitten by Karma, but I know you're not supposed to... for fear that Karma (for laughing and enjoying others' pain) will come back on you. But for the ones that get it because of stuff I've personally been involved with - laughter truly IS the best medicine!

I believe in Karma, the "had it coming clause", and peace and justice for all.

well, i certainly believe in 'what goes around, comes around' and even if I am not religious, which I'm not, I still think the golden rule is a pretty good basis for how you conduct yourself.

Karma. I don't believe the Universe conspires in such ways. Some people commit terrible deeds and get away with them. Some people are punished for acts they didn't commit. Some people have randomly horrible things happen to them.

A life is long. It's easy to see patterns where there are none because there are so many events in one's life to choose from. This event balances this one. This deed balances this one and so on.

But life, the equation, is not an equality. There are inherent random "greater to" and "less than" signs in the great universal formula we call life.

Of course this is obvious and troubling to people who believe such things. The question that is invariably asked is how life can be karmically balanced if the evidence is to the contrary. Why do some people seem to have things they don't deserve and vice versa? The answer to that is reincarnation. You can carry forth your karmic balance to the next life.

I don't believe in that either.

The resolution to the discrepancy with observation is simple. It is just not true.
