what the fuck is wrong with these goddamned super cyborgs that they are
so completely incompetent that they have to keep coming back because
the previous one fucked up the job he was supposed to do?

T-1

a killer cyborg comes from the future.
he is a really scary because he is a super machine.
bullets bounce off him.
he can't be stopped.
he wasted half the people in the movie
luckily for humanity, the cocktail waitress kills him.

*yawn*

T-2

the dead super killer robot comes back as a nice guy :(
he claims he is a different robot... but he has that same Austrian/LA accent.
yeah, nice try Conan!

and what the fuck was that about? machines got sophisticated enough to
procreate and travel through time but never thought about speech
therapy for the immigrant weight lifter robots?

So here we are... unfortunately for the little boy he is now trying to
save... a new and improved super killer cyborg, next generation, mercury
based freakshow who is purported to be better in everyway is trying to
kill them both... yet he fucks up anyway. As unlikely as it seemed and
much to our dismay, the shitty robot and little kid prevail.

even thought they blew up twice as much shit... it was still b-o-r-i-n-g

T-3

How could they outdo Terminator 1 and 2?

Well, in Hollywood, the answer is both simple and obvious. create a new
super killer robot with new and improved super weapons and for good
measure,.... slap a pair of tits on it.

who could have saw that coming?

not surprisingly, she is totally technologically superior in every way,
complete with adjustable breasts, legs that don't stop, the cutest lips i
have ever seen and no matter how many times she gets smashed,
crushed, shot and blown up... her hair is never out of place. needless to
say, she fucks her mission up like those imcompetent super cyborgs before
her and loses to the dumber, less sophisticated robot.

So the basic premise of T-1 was that in the future, there was a war with
machines? What war with machines could they be having? Jesus Christ,
three films later and they could not even whack out one little boy or his
mommy. it makes me wonder how much robot inbreeding there was after
the apocolypse.

We were talking about downloading our brains in another thread and
living forever... but i would rather die than download my brain into some
sort of dipshit super killer, ultra commando, power ranger robot with a
suspiciously strange Austrian accent that can wipe out half of LA in the
first 60 minutes of the film... but cant kill a 10 year old. a cybergenic
failure and dipshit.

if they did not spend most of the movie gunning down innocent people and
blowing shit up i would have left in the first 20 minutes.

Maybe everything that happens in these movies is supposed to happen. What if part of history meant that Sarah Connor was supposed to meet the T-1, so she has to survive to train her son to fight and send Reese back. Reese has to come back because that's what history dictates (John Connor never knew his dad, it was the result of a one night fling).

So, what's happening is that these robots coming back are part of what is supposed to happen. So it's going in a big historical loop.

The reason all of the T1's sound and look alike is because they are mass produced on an assmbly line.

Remember at the end of Terminator when the T1 was destroyed in the factory? Notice the name on the building? Cyber Dynamics, Inc.? That was the company that produced the T1's in the first place, so that would suggest where the initial chip came from. So, thus began the loop...or did it begin with Sarah Conner meeting the T1? Or with Reese and T1 traveling back in time? Where does history start and where does it end?

The reason the robots seem "stupid" is their main function is to terminate their target, nothing else, but they have adaptive elements, so they can learn. That's why in T3, John Connor has to re-teach the T1. It's not the same robot, rather the same model.

Sorry, having read the scripts and seen the first two movie several times and having recently seen the third one, I'm a bit into the series ;-)))

Saw Bruce Almighty this weekend, was something to do when it was 102 out. Decent movie, I give it 3 out of 5 stars, on the Shaw rating system. I was worth going to see Laura cry at a Jim Carry flick!

Hm, probably not worth going to the cinema for.

But I just got the DVD, so I'll watch it tonight and write an even worse review ;-)

I was disappointed in the movie. "Tits, gunplay, chases involving heavy equipment and lots of shit blowing up" is a dead-on accurate review and pretty complete. Some funny one-liners but no great plot twists. I'm not saying it was bad. It was entertaining enough if you're in the mood for it.

Matrix Reloaded was much better.

if i go see an action movie, i want to be surprised... to be shocked... to be amazed. dumb robots that can't get the job done, is not nearly impressive the third time around.

I am hoping that T-3 does really, really, really well so that Arnold doesn't decide to officially run for governor here in California. They are already calling him the "Governator" - just what we need... another bullshit governor that has no business holding office to put us even further into debt...

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........

On that note we saw "How to Deal" on Saturday (my daughter is a big Mandy Moore fan).... OK to take your teen daughter to but don't expect anything for you... lol It premiered Friday, we saw it Saturday and there were 8 other people besides us in the theater. Enough said...

T3: Haven't seen it yet, so I can't judge.

Bruce Almighty: I agree about the 3 out of 5. It was really funny until the final 15 sappy minutes. Some advice: Check out the movie, but the moment you start to feel like you're watching a bad television melodrama, go ahead and leave. It stays that way until the end. The laughs are officially over.

How to Deal: I think I'll pass. :)

Jackie Brown: Excellent movie.

T3 definitely in the top couple worst movies of the year.

If you like documentaries I have seen two this week (small theatre here that only carries that sort of thing):

Winged Migration - about migration of birds. Guy took 4 years to shoot. Very interesting shots

About the Friedmans or Capturing the Friedmans - about pediphilia. Very good.
