I just read an article about him in Men's Journal.

He is a very interesting person indeed, and lives
such a great life.

voo

he and I have a verry similar life pattern and have done many of the same jobs

I have met him several time actually ( talk about CLAY FEET)

I managed the top restaurant in Key west from 95-97
Louies Backyard

the bar out back has been a haunt of jimmy's since his POOR days (and boy was he poor)

as a player he would bring the gang in for dinner all the time

Verry good to the fans but a cheap ass fuck
LOL

I still LOVE and admire that man!!!

I've had that site bookmarked for a couple of years:) He's always been one of my favs. Guess I've read all his books, and they were pretty good if you like him:)
I've seen him about 15 times, and 2 of those were very up close and personal. One time, we're were on the beach having a small get together with a fire, beer, ladies, and this dude walks up and ask us if we could join(it was dark and know one really paid much attention) but after a couple of minutes this dude breaks out the guitar and starts rocking his shit, man that was one of the best times I've had in my life.
His sister has a place down on the gulf we all go to, met him in there once also:) VERY cool guy :wnw:

I like Jimmy Buffet, definately an All American guy!!

I also like Jerry Jeff Walker - he is kind of the Texas version of Buffet!

I'm not a huge fan, but every once in a while I get in a Buffett mood and can listen for hours.

First saw Buffet back in '74 while I was going to my Navy school in Key Waste ..... I think it was at "The Bull".... Before anyone really knew who he was :)

Seen him countless times since then.....

Always a good concert.......

When we are down at the condo in Fort Myers, we end up tired of him... All over Fort Myers Beach all they play is Jimmy...lololol.....

I want to take one of the boats between For Myers and Key Waste... Looks like a lot of fun..... :yowsa:

Closed down that quick?? I was down there in January 2000 and they looked to be rocking (didn't go in, I had my neices 9 and 6 years old with me)......

It's funny because, yeah it looks like duvall would be a hard place to open something new but all the old old places just keep rocking... Most of the stuff that was there back when I was stationed there (thirty years ago) was still there......and still going strong....

That is exactly why

its on the same block as Sloppy's Across the street from the bull and whistle, Rum runner, Ricks, ect ect

and now there is a hard rock just up the street on the same side.

They didnt have a gimick or new idea to draw them him

He just openned another OBI

He's known in NY he is a nobody in Key west

too bad...I loved the way he did the place and he spent a fortune to open it
