I just watched 'Mr Smith Goes To Washington' again - what a great film. It got me thinking about which old black and white films I enjoy the most.

Of course, Casablanca and Citizen Cain are up there but the one I enjoy the most has to be an old Cary Grant film adaptation of a play called Arsenic and Old Lace.

How about you, do you have a favorite old black and white movie?

Dr Strangelove,

1964 Stanley Kubrick film starring Peter Sellers and George C. Scott about Nuclear Destruction.

Also who can forget Steve McQueen, Bullitt.

B&W would have to be Casablanca. And I'm still a sucker for It's a Wonderful Life.

I love An Affair to Remember even though it's in color.

At the risk of sounding corny.. one of my favorite movies for years growing up was Goodbye Mr. Chips.. and another on a similar theme.. Blackboard Jungle

must have had a teacher fascination.. although if that is correct, it's a worry how they were both about male teachers :\

I did have a hottie teacher in 5th grade named Miss Dal Santo ...

First part of "Wizard of Oz" right up until the part where "Money" starts playing. ;-)
