If you have time to read this sort of shit, considered yourself old, retired, and washed up.

I'm not retired but I'm WAY past old and washed up! :agrin:

P.J. O'Rourke is, IMHO, one of the best writers around. And again, IMHO, his review of Hitlary's book was nothing short of spectacular. :okthumb:

I even had time to read it TWICE! :nyanya:

I knew what book you meant before I even opened the thread and I imagine a lot of other people did too. Guess that says something.

What was Boortz's taste in porno downloads?

It was a small world back then, and we verified by hand so there was no anonymity. We might be headed back in that direction....

Of course it led to knowing more than you want about some local "personalities". I remember I had one Weather Channel guy and two CNN reporters over on my side of the street who would download absolutely anything.

And we wont narc on our other radio brethren...they're on the good people list and still around.

Strangely enough, it dawned on me who it was when I was making scrambled eggs this AM. That can't just be a coincidence. :awinky: Your reference to Colin at least confirmed it. See - I'm not dumb, just slooooooow - and food helps me think better. B)

My cousin is a weatherman for WC and one of the locals and is trying to keep his homosexuality quiet....but he's a little young to be involved in the old BBS days. Then there was Minchew who liked young boys..... :barfon:

BoortZ liked those couples / orgy pics. Little known fact was that his wife also maintained an alias on g-land she went by pecker wrecker. So brother BoortZ just discovered internet email by accident. Actually he does some guest bartending out at the snooty country club we were at usually round this time of year or later.

I think Ill have to attend just to wear my purple gonZoland hat. We sent the entire staff over there hats and God knows ever fucker that was a sysop here was insanly pissed off that he mentioned the bbs on the air all the time. I was invited several times to the station and to several events during that time...of course it was incognito as he wouldnt want to the world to know he was on Atlanta's primo porn BBS.

Peaches....if your thinking of HST while cooking eggs I dont know what to tell you. My guess would be that he would prefer you making brownies or Wild Turkey in tumblers packed with ice.

Strangly enough Ive never met the man. Ive been contacted by several of his people supposedly intersted in devloping the domain name to sell his stuff. Of course they didnt realize that I interviewed him albiet briefly while in college...so I have some inside scoop as to how he would arrange things. And he most definatly would not send a handler to negotiate a deal on this domain name.

At one time I would have given him the domain name but 10 years later...it would have to have a nice price tag associated to it.

Tom Wolfe is a wanna be. The book on Atlanta sucked and he just wants to be a tag along to HST. Id stick that bow tie straight up his ass.
