As if adding the word, "Internet" makes a difference? By the age of 11, I almost guarantee every kid has seen porn, even if they've never touched a computer. There are these things called girly mags that no matter how hidden Dad thinks they are, horny little preteens somehow get hold of.

It cracks me up that we're supposed to believe that the exposure of minors to porn is a new phenomenon brought about by the advent of the Internet. Minors have been ogling naked chicks and sexual content since the days of French postcards for fuck's sake! The only difference now is that web pages don't get stuck together!

Well, there is always a slant.... In this case, the website is trying to sell internet filters to parents..... So, the "nasty" numbers are probably inflated towards worst case.... But all of them are probably "swag" for the most part......

From the top of the page....
-----------------
"Internet Pornography statistics become outdated very quickly, especially in the Internet environment where numbers change daily. The following pornography statistics are current as of 2003. These statistics have been derived from a number of different reputable sources including Google, WordTracker, PBS, MSNBC, NRC, and Alexa research. "

Another article on the site is "Tricks pornographers play"
http://www.internetfilterreview.com/tricks...phers-play.html (http://www.internetfilterreview.com/tricks-pornographers-play.html)

Which of course lists all sorts of dirty nasties and then tells you the ways to beat the trickswith one of the ways being to use the filters that they promote :)

The tricks:

Porn-Napping
Cyber Squatting
Doorway Scams
Misspelling
Advertising
entrapment
Looping
Mousetrapping
Startup File Alteration
Cookies
Trojan Horses
Dialers
Spyware
Live Action
Email
Email Spoofing
Chat
file sharing
Peer-to-Peer
Bulletin Boards

Dont think for one sec that they cant monitor requests via stuff like p2p.
I know of one company based in atlanta that has a contract with Sony that does nothing but monitor p2p traffic.

I know about Big Champagne and P2P pervs but that's not what we are talking about. I'm talking about them tracking the dollar transactions on Cp. If they can track dollar transactions then surely they can catch the same people spending and making the money.

the only difference between now and 15 years ago was that back then I had to sneak down the stairs in the middle of the night and turn on Showtime and Cinemax to watch barely censored movies. Now, they just turn on the computer in their bedrooms.

I would think that most of them are swag at best.....

Money in this industry would be hard to track..... I don't think most business names that earnings are reported under indicate any association with the adult industry...

I know that when I worked for the "big guys", the company names were extremely nondescript designed to pull the least amount of scrutiny possible and that we always went after at least a small percentage of mainstream business....
