I don't know how good they are, but that rinkydink joint directnic is offering Merchant accounts now...

Considering who owns it, it probably isn't worth looking at though...

Mike, if you see this........

Was checking out the merchant account offerings on Directnic a couple of weeks ago (thats how I knew they were there..lol) and was just wondering some stuff....

I am clueless on what it would take to implement our own merchant account so if you have any info as to what all is required, could you post it or point me to the directnic expert ??

Currently, I accept credit cards through a mainstream processor.... The charges show up as the processor... we are in effect, selling our merchandise to the processor and they are selling it to the customer...

We also take paypal...

If we had our own merchant account, how do we process ? Through a third party who posts them to ur account or do we keep our own databases, do our own secure line, etc ?? Or are both of these options?

The main reason we want to have our own MA is to be able to take charges in person, at shows, etc....

So, any enlightenment or pointing in the right direction to info would be appreciated...
