Not exactly a "junky", but I do watch it!

So...will Charlotte become a jew? Will Carrie become a Burger? Will Miranda become an honest woman? Will Samantha get AIDS? B)

Without giving it away to those on the west coast, I was pleasantly surprised by the guy with the baby. :awinky:

I tried watching it, but really, how many times can one person watch the same 4 girls do the same thing over and over?

I guess its better than 6 feet under though.

Love those ladies. Darren Star was the one who got the series off the ground. Remember him from Melrose Place? He is a very talented guy. Hated to see Sarah Jessica's old boyfriend, John Corbett, with a baby. He is too sexy to be dragging around a kid, unless it belongs to his older girlfriend, Bo Derrick, who is long in the tooth for having a child. This new boyfriend, Jack Berger, must go. Bring back Mr. Big!!!!! There is a rumor that "Sex & The City" may come back next year. Outside of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," this series is the best HBO is offering. :bjump:

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAA

that is SOOOOO not true slav!!

women are EXACTLY like this (except that almost all of us make way less money than those bitches do)

some time soon i will take along an audio recorder to one of my girls lunches ... our clothes, hair and boyfriends are not as expensive, and we usually look worse with a hangover, but the conversation is about the same, with more swear words.

the overall characters and exciting lives and dramatic storyline might not be real, but the situations ARE!!!

Hooper, count me in as an addict, i can't get enough of the show. :okthumb:

Timon, nothing wrong with queer as folk ... if you could get over your homophobia, you might see the brilliance in the show! :biglaugh:

What is it about straight men that makes you so threatened by gay men? or not even the men themselves, just the whole 'word' and lifestyle?

I find the homophobia in this industry strange, you all work in an industry where its perfectly normal to shove a carrot up your ass while sucking off a shemale, but at the mention of 'gay' you turn into nervous schoolboys!!

wassup wit dat?

Timon
06-23-2003, 04:02 AM
cj, unfortunately queer as folk is not being broadcasted here so I couldn't even see it if I wanted to, but I couldn't resist the urge of taking a shot at voodoo ;-)

Actually I always tell designers or member area builders who say they can't look at hardcore gay porn that if they are secure about their sexuality then looking at gay porn shouldn't affect them in any way, it's when it bothers them that they should be worried about looking at gay porn ;-)

Timon
06-23-2003, 04:04 AM
That's why voodoo would never watch queer as folk, it would bother him WAY too much ;-))

cj
06-23-2003, 04:11 AM

in my experience, the more homophobic a guy is, the more insecure he is about his own sexuality

Dont kid yourself, kid.

I am so secure in my manhood, I went to a party FULL of gay people
Fri night. Not one problem.

Of course there were straight people there too, like myself.

Even the producer of the Hollywood Squares game was there.

The Wire is a damned good show, but it is very slow to unfold. I started watching it first season and almost gave it up, but it hooked me.

The problem is you cant just jump in and watch one show and have any idea what it's about. And this season they didn't even re-introduce the characters, so I tend to think that if you didn't watch the first season, you stand no chance of getting hooked on the second.

Great show, but the very deliberate pace may prevent it from becoming as popular as the other HBO shows.

They need some new material bad. Sex and the City is gone soon. Oz is gone. The Sopranos only turn out a dozen episodes about every 2 years.

I tried last season but never could get into it.

Just finished watching the 1st season of The Shield on DVD, BTW - thanks for the recommendation! :) The last two shows were especially awesome. I watched the 2nd season when they had the marathon thing before the finale (in the good old days before my TiVo modem got zapped :(), but I think I'm going to watch them again now that I have a little more history behind what happened.

Finishing up the 2nd season of OZ now and the first season of 24 is in the mail.

I LOVE Netflix when everything else is a repeat! :inlove:
