Got a new ride and i'm trying to decide whether vanity plates make me look like an asshole. (by the way, i was thinking about this while looking at my boat through my new camera and i'm posting this from my wired pda) ;)

What do you think?

If you drink and drive a lot it's best to have plates that are impossible to remember ;-)

They had a real lame ass system for getting plates in Orlando, FL.
Everytime I submitted one, it was taken.

YALE 1
YALE 2
YALE 3

Many other variants.

The annoyed employee had to look them all up manually. The annoyed driver had to keep giving her new plates to look-up. Eventually, I just stuck my initials at the end.

I had personalized tags for years with my nickname on it (my OTHER one - not Peaches....in fact, it's actually a nickname of a nickname for my real name. I'm SUCH a confusing person  ). It was great fun! My Dad's had one since he's had a car - the same one. His name and track jersey number.

The cutest one I've seen was "BAABAA" on the back of black Jeep (Baa Baa Black Jeep :awinky: ). And I used to know a girl whose Dad had invented one of the first popular video games and he had the name of it on he tag. Kaboom, I think?

Like most things in life, vanity plates can go both ways.

IF you have one that tries to be too cool, or insulting it is laughable ( especially if its on a junky car)

But if you have something that is normal or means something it can be ok. ( Maybe I am justifying having HIRISE1 through 6 on some of my cars)

sarettah, while I may not have THAT many cars, the total worth may be about 1/2 of Marcos' shoe value....

I just hope the little people do not raise up and expel me... :D
