Hmmmm, looks like PD is still asleep since nobody voted that corporations are bad yet.

We are a poor group for this. Practically all of us are self-employed. Even the ol' trucker, here owns his truck.

This thing needs more choices....

It is not a black and white question by any means.

Corporations are no more or no less good (or evil) than people. Like da man, said ... need more choices.

This poll sounds like a history test I took once....
something along the lines of Morgan, Vanderbilt , Carnegie, Rockefeller.... Captains of Industry or Robber Barrons.

you can write pages of utter bullshit on that question lol :yowsa: and I think I did.

Hard to make generalizations.... Corproations are merely a legal fiction to allow capital to accumulate and be put to work on large scales. Without the protection that Corps provide, the originizational support, we would never get beyond mom and pop shops.

Sometimes they can be bad, 100 years ago with teh huge trusts there were issues.... today with Enron and others abusing system, or those who go public just to pump and dump....

But those are isolated cases.... I operate inside of many Corporations.... I suspect most people do.

There, I just had to make that 0 a 1....rotfl!

But I do agree, more choices are needed....and some can be bad, while others can be good...it's all a matter of management.

I feel that corporations are really just another citizen of our country...

There are good ones, there are mediocre ones, there are bad ones and there are downrigt evil ones....

They each reflect the morals and values of the people that run them...
and not necessarilly the people that own them.

And just like any other citizen, they can change and grow. Ones that were good can become mediocre, bad or evil.. and vice versa.

it always seems to come down to people.... hmmm
