Ok, I just got about the 50th call today where the caller id shows as "unavailable". I have also been getting a lot lately that show the phone number as "000-000-0000".

Congress and all the anti-spammers want to pass legislation against spam because all those dirty spammers fake return addresses, origination and all that. According to the antis, that is "misleading" and "devious".

What about the fucking phone spammers who do the same fucking thing ??? Aren't they "misleading" and "devious" when they either block their number or manage to pass a different number then where they are calling from ???

Yes, there are nocall lists etc, but in order to report someone that is calling you, you have to know what their real number is....

So, why is there no big uproar over the dirty nasty little phone spammers ???

It couldn't be because the powers that be get a cut on phone usage in the form of federal and state taxes, could it ???

nah.....

This is not just a mainstream problem either....

Just yesterday I got a call from an upsell content provider asking me why I wasn't promoting their stuff anymore....

They had a sign up here, put your name on the list by a certain date and it's illegal for anyone to do phone spam. Ever since no one has called me. It's great. As far as the 000 phone number, that could be anyone. If you put *67 before you dial the number it will do that, or if your number is unlisted. If it happens to be spam then tell them to take your name off the list and if they ever call back again you will sue. It works.
