Ok, the gist of this is that yesterday, Laci Peterson's family went into Scott and Laci Peterson's house and removed various items.....

My wife and I discussed this last night... I feel that it was quite wrong, both legally and morally wrong for them to do this. I feel that, while I understand their emotion and wanting some of the stuff, until Scott Peterson is proinounced guilty, he must be treated as if he is innocent. And that means that he OWNS that stuff until a court says otherwise...

My wife says, "well, he might have sold it..etc...."

In my mind, that doesn't matter.... It is his..period and they were illegal in their actions...

any thoughts?

My thought is that it doesn't really matter what we think, it matters what's legal. B)

Since I've never been arrested for murder, I don't know at what point the state (or whatever arm of the govt. is prosecuting) steps in and takes legal possession of the defendants property.

Personally, if I were her mother, I would have had my fat ass over there picking up as many things as I could get and then let people decide if what I did was wrong or not. :(
