A lot of this from the mid 80's to the early 90's brings back many memories for me.

I worked with many of these people, was also a "bond daddy", banked at Madison and Worthen, did business with or worked for most of the investment firms mentioned (Lassater, Stephens, etc.), had work done from the Rose law firm, am related to the former head of narcotics for the State Police, lived across the street from Bill and Hillary and lived next door to Genifer Flowers, knew the president of Systematics well and was well aware of the rampant cocaine "epedemic" surrounding many of the ppl mentioned. Little Rock was a small town.

Had no idea at the time the significance of any of this. Very interesting to see the whole chronology of events.

I'm too lazy to read it all - is there a Reader's Digest condensed version anywhere? :agrin:

I'm with Peaches (not her real name) - too long

Does it say anywhere when Clinton didn't inhale and where we got his cigars from?

Does it say anything about his whoremonica playing skills?

It seemed like a factual recounting of the history of Clinton from Atty General in the 70's to present.

I didn't see it so much as a Clinton bashing, juts a interesting read of the chronology of events.

Probably just because I was there for some of it and had some personal experiences.

Here's the quick summary;

Bill and Hillary lay down for bed. Bill gently taps Hillary on the shoulder and starts rubbing her arm. Hillary turns over and says: "I'm sorry Bill, I've got a gynecologist appointment tomorrow and I want to stay fresh."

Bill, rejected, turns over and tries to sleep.

A few minutes later, Bill rolls back over and taps Hillary again. This time he whispers in her ear: "Do you have a dentist appointment tomorrow too?"

Okay...so I didn't have 30+ minutes to spend reading this but it sucked me in anyway and I read....

*sigh* Not like it was anything NEW mind you, but it was interesting to read it all in chronological order like that...the Clinton years in a nutshell. I'll be anxious to read the Bush version in a few years as well....

Politics - many say that it's mostly about choosing the lesser of the two evils. So basically it's assumed that both parties are in general "evil" to some degree.... so why would anyone be shocked?

I am again reminded of one of the failings of liberals 'long about 1978.

They thought they could keep running against Richard Nixon forever.

YAWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Serge,

there will always be Clinton Slammers and Clinton Supporters. I for one will always be a supporter of Bill Clinton.

Ask yourself this, are you better off today then you were just a couple of few yrs. ago??

Of course I did find it kinda funny that Clinton in a speech a few days ago suggested that they might reverse or change the 22 Ammd. :)

Shit Serge,

Clinton was proud of the USA and was very patriotic. So you go with the flow and support Bush to the hilt? hey that's your choice.

I live in no fantasy land serge, I know and smell piss when I see it :)

Clinton was an interesting man and a President that will go down in history as both great and terrible or maybe both (depending on your perspective).

What strikes me as funny are the people whose first reaction regarding the Chronology of Clinton is to assume that it must be negative and rush to defend and discredit, adding the YAWNS and all. Not that I didn't anticipate it as the sub title indicates.

Must be the idea that since I'm not a liberal, I must be on the other side. Just another conservative in Libertarian clothing, blah, blah, blah.

I was there and had some personal experiences with alot of the people involved with the Clintons, nothing more, nothing less. I had a great time when I was in Little Rock and it is just interesting to me to look back and see so many of the people that I knew involved at such a high level.

People who need to defend Clinton when he is not even being bashed, reference the same in other threads, etc. need to get a better grip on life.

It's not all about party politics. There are just too many of us who see the shit on both sides and find ourselves objectively in the middle rather than partisanly on one side or the other.
