I noticed less posting here. I wasn't sure if people were running out of things to say or if there was less overall traffic.

It's got to be a lot of work to keep a board/site interesting. I've noticed the views are ok, not great but not bad. No one is really posting.

For me the summer is about preparing new projects, getting ready for Internext and working on content.

My signups are not down. They're up.

If Serge takes a day off for example, the board loses his 25 posts. The board also loses all the responses to his posts and then all the responses to those posts, etc. There is a multiplier. Every post made by Serge, Mike, CJ, Peaches or anyone else creates x responses on average.

Same thing with the economy and even circle-jerk and TGP sites.

If a new $1million is added into the economy there is a multiplier which is how many times that $1 million is spent. When taxes are cut, for example, that money is added back into the economy as a multiplier depending on how often it is spent. Economists argue over where and how to input that money to get the best multiplier.

If someone takes 10,000 search engine hits into their TGP, those people go clicking around some number of times. Maybe 3.5x on average. I have no idea. So 10,000 search engine visitors pushed into the network of TGP sites might create 35,000 visitors over the whole system.

Sykk - we gotta come out to Vegas to cool off....it was 112 yesterday afternoon and the kids got pissed cuz I wouldn't let them play in their baseball games. Too damned hot - I don't want them passing out from heat exhaustion!

By 9pm it had cooled off to about 100 so we ducked out for some ice cream...

Why do I live out here again? lol Oh yeah...the nice California weather....
