Yeah, I saw "The final flight of the Osiris". It was shown before the previews at a movie I went to last month. Damn! I was blown away.

About 15 of us from the ARS office are going Thursday night. Got the tickets reserved in advance. Hope it lives up to the hype.

:kapow: :shooter:

BTW, I saw the chick who plays Trinity on some talk show. Out of the vinyl suit and preggers - Yikes! :zoinks:

The Animatrix -- all nine shorts -- will be out on DVD on June 9th. They all look awesome!

And just let me say God damn, I'm glad I don't see anyone posting looking for bootlegged web versions! Then again, Oprano's a class act and only REAL business people with INTEGRITY post here (for the most part).

ObnoxiousBitch bowed at GFY (http://gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=133365) and stirred up some shit (I swear I only went in to post in FM's Dokk thread!) with Mike from SexEntertain, who was looking for "a WATCHABLE version of Matrix: Reloaded." This request from a content provider for fuck's sake!

Sure, I brought it on myself by posting what I did, but since the title IN ALL CAPS caught my eye -- it's one of our biggest properties, of course I'm curious! -- I couldn't resist taking a peek to see what people were saying. And I'm sure that any of the REAL business people that happen upon that thread will see that if they're ever in a position in which they have to rely on my integrity and trustworthiness that they'll remember I'm a stand-up kinda Bitch and wouldn't stand by and watch good people get fucked over.

So... to several GFYers I'm a "dirty fucking narc" and a dumbass, but that's ok -- I've been called much worse by far better people, that's for damned sure. :biglaugh: To the people who cut my damned paycheck I'm more likely to be labeled "one loyal fucking employee," which is what I've been since 1995. Unlike many of the braintrusts on GFY, I live by the wise words that you don't shit where you eat.

WB puts food in my kid's mouth and makes it possible for me to get quality medical treatment for her, so you're goddamned straight I feel obligated to stand up and protect their interests when necessary... even knowing that the corporation holds no such loyalty to me when it comes right down to it. If business circumstances were such that they had to lay me off, they'd do so, and there I'd be. But that's business, eh? Fucking morons circumventing the natural order of things by supporting thieves don't make my job any safer, I'll tell ya that much.

So, I hope everyone enjoys Matrix: Reloaded at their nearest theatre!

I more an Animaniacs kinda guy than Animatrix

It's time for An-i-man-i-acs and we're zany to the max
So just sit back and relax you'll laugh till you collapse

We're An-i-man-i-acs

Come join the Warner Brothers and the Warner sister Dot
Just for fun we run around the Warner movie lot
They lock us in the tower whenever we get caught
But we break loose... and then vamoose...
And now you know the plot

We're An-i-man-i-acs
Dot is cute and Yakko yaks
Wakko packs away the snacks
While Bill Clinton plays the sax,
We're An-i-man-i-acs

Meet Pinky and the Brain, who want to rule the universe
Goodfeathers flock together, Slappy wacks 'em with her purse
Buttons chases Mindy, while Rita sings a verse
The writers flipped, we have no script, why bother to rehearse?

We're An-i-man-i-acs
We have pay or play contracts
We're zany to the max
There's baloney in our slacks

We're An-i-man-ee
Totally insane-y
Pinky and the brainey
An-i-man-ee-acs!
Those are the facts!

Hoop, I understand not being able to get out to the theatre (or in my case, never WANTING to go to the theatre -- it's always too friggin' cold in there, and that makes me fall asleep... waste of my $9 admission). And for the record, it's not people like YOU, who actually will go out and buy the special edition DVD when it becomes available that I was referring to when I made comments about thieves -- it's the warezkiddies and Kazaa whores who all want something for nothing and then get nasty when it's pointed out that they're stealing.

I wasn't calling anyone out, it was meant as more of a warning than anything else. I AM an employee of a movie studio, and I know that there are teams of people who go looking for links to properties that have been pirated and report them to the studios' Legal departments, who go after the infringers. It is their right to do so, and it's their JOB to do so. I wasn't kidding about the 13 year old Harry Potter fan that the WB Legal staff went after; and though I personally find that ridiculous and reprehensible, they were within their rights.

I can take people disagreeing with my point of view just fine. It's when I get called names by losers like the teenagers who post on GFY that I feel I have to give as good as I get. That's why I don't usually go there, it's a waste of my time.

Please accept my apologies for getting my hackles raised over what was clearly a misunderstanding on my part of what you posted. And for the record, it was the fact that Mike, a content provider, was asking for what amounts to stolen property that just floored me. I'll email him and apologize for my 5 cents comment as well (since I'll never go to GFY again) -- it was unfortunate that I saw the posts calling me names right before the comparatively mild comments you guys posted, so I was in the Bitch zone and went off.

Tell ya what, I'll see what I can find out about getting you a quality version if one exists. If not, I'm sure I can get my hands on the Animatrix DVD and a few Matrix movie posters. I'd be happy to send them out to you, since you're obviously a fan and I hold no animosity toward you (OR Mike for that matter). Being a corporate slave still has SOME benefits after all. B)

And yes, I know that corporate loyalty is stupid. I go there every day, I do what they ask of me and I get a big paycheck twice a month and can get the medical treatment for my daughter that she requires without having to spend the hundreds of thousands of dollars it'd cost me without the benefit of group insurance. I'm willing to be a whore to WB for those things right now. You have a kid, so I'm sure you know where I'm coming from.

Peace!

Aw shit, Hooper -- will my post look out of context now? LOL

I'll even send you an action figure! Those are REALLY easy to get -- my husband (who should kick my ass, and I'll tell him Serge said so!) works as a mold-maker for the company who did the scans & sculpts for this new line, so they generally get 'em early on.

YOU SUCK!!!!!!

:P

I have tickets for a big screen replay of Matrix at 9pm, and Matrix Reloaded at 11.59pm thursday night, which is about 18 hours before your thursday starts ... this is one of the first times in history that a movie has been released at the same time here as in the states, and we get it FIRST because of the time zones!!! :gbounce: We normally have to wait weeks, and sometimes months ... I had my sister bring me a copy of 8Mile on dvd from canada in early april when she came home, it is still showing at the cinema here, probably won't be on dvd for a few months.

thank you matrix!

Just watched Matrix I a few days ago.

The ship's name is the Nebuchadnezzar. The main female character's name is Trinity,as in the biblical/catholic trinity.

The mosaic story line of a people being enslaved.
A "Christ-like" savior. The one that has been prophesied. [I wonder if Neo will have to be crucified?}

The "last free city" is called "Zion".

Maybe many others. Hard to tell what is intentional or not.

3.30am review

I :inlove: Keanu Reeves, especially when he :shooter: and :woo: and all the bad guys go :papow:, but not when he tries to act using Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure lines.

The bad guys do lots of :redance:, and Carrie-Anne Fisher does lots of :kapow: and :uzi: in leather look rubber. Trinity & Neo do lots of :bojump: but Neo shows nothing but :moon: ...

I HAVE MATRIX OVERLOAD!!!!

It feels kinda like too much sex ... a bit sore, but yummy

More Messiah-anic really, keep in mind that hebrews don't recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

I think that while similarities exist between historical/religious personas and/or events, the brothers are re-arranging these existing factors and coming up with different outcomes, as opposed to following a certain more predictable (linear if you will) storyline.

What do Hebrews have to do with it? All the references aren't Judaic.

Trinity , for example.

I think it will be the best one.

We'll have to wait and see. The trailer looks pretty much like Reloaded though.

I work for the Online division in Glendale, but we tend to go to the Lot quite a bit just for lunch, and other events.

I was over there on Tuesday, for a "Farewell to Laramie Street" event. They're tearing it down and building a whole new backlot area there, that's apparently going to look like a New England Suburbia or something. They had a contest to name the streets, and if they choose your suggestion you win a 32" television. Gawd, I hope they pick mine! LOL

I took a bunch of pictures (including pictures of the pictures they had up on most of the buildings, taken while shooting various movies on the Laramie Street sets). It's a bit of history that'll be gone forever... Great films like "Blazing Saddles," "West World," and "Maverick" were all shot there, as were TV shows like "Little House on the Prairie" and "F Troop." Once I get all the pics done & into a gallery I'll post a link.

Unless no one cares, that is. :yowsa:

SykkBoy,

The refs in Cool Hand Luke were better don't ya think?

Neo One... pretty obvious... As are other references Colin pointed out...
But Newman laying on table after eating 50 eggs in classical crucifixion
pose, dying of sorts for other convicts sins, letting them 'feed off him' for
last time? At least that one makes you work for it rather than handing it
to ya on a platter...

CHL is full of mental mind candy indeed...
