The old radio shows with Dokk and Sharky at CE - Always good stuff :okthumb: I remember the time(s?) when Sharky called Dokk and Dokk was setting on the toilet doing the radio show... Sharky saying "DoKK are you on the toilet?" - Dokk answering "Yeah, I´m not shy"... :D (I might remember wrong, but thats how its stuck in my head). Thats the Dokk I remember and like! I hope he gets better, and someday he will return with new energy! :)

I hope Dokk and his family are ok.

Best wishes to a speedy recovery!

Yeah not to knock DoKK situation, but where is Pattycake* and the rest of the crew to throw a fundraiser? A webmaster auction? I think DoKK was one of the first ones to help in these situations...

Is this the state of the industry now? Back years ago when cash was flowing an times were good, everyone was eager to see who had the biggest dick.... bidding thousands of dollars for photos of Serge nude...

I am not calling anyone out, just making a comment on how times have changed....

Oh yes Mike................. times have changed big-time.

I would be glad to help......... but just don't think it would go any where.

And just so ya know....... a lot of the big dick bidding at the various auctions was never collected.

Why does this not surprise me?

These people should have been outed, and shamed!!

Sharpie,

your 100% correct.. I was helping to collect on some of the auctions, boy I gave up on a few ppl after a few emails.

Everyone else paid very quick, no problems at all. I still remember that auction with Marcde, damm he donated a ton of cash, so did Ken@webquest. Shit everyone helped out so much, kudos to all of them :)

I remember bidding with Ken for an early edition of a playboy magazine, i had to throw the bid - Ken's dick is much bigger than mine ;-(

But after spending several thousand at auctions and only being able to claim about 20% of the things I had bid on, I got very tired of giving ... companies make donations of products so they can get advertising, but coincidentally seem to disappear when you try to claim your purchases.

Of all the companies who donate stuff, todd always comes through with the goods, so does maxcash and ars who are both class acts.

I think people's intentions are good, but every time there's an auction, its the same companies contributing and the same people bidding. Its hard to keep that effort up every time, when we seemed to get to the point we had an auction or fundraiser every month ...

Its a shame we have all become so jaded to charity events in our industry, because if anyone deserves our support, its those who have given the most since day 1, like Dokk.

how about convention sponsors sending the amount they'd
spend on alcohol for webmasters to a fund for dokk instead...
we can BYOB of have ice tea or koolaid instead...

Bell that is a good idea.... though I am not sure I could handle dealing with most webmasters if I was sober.... :D

The koolaid I would want most to drink would be Jim Jones Grape...

Not that I could see it happening - or would WANT to see sober webmasters either but....

The "Drink a Diet Coke for Dokk" Party would be a good title for that fund-raiser as our Dokky - as most friends and fans know - is a Diet Coke-a-holic.

:stout:

Hmmmmmmm....would we get MORE biz done at these things sober - or less? That IS a good question. But...like the "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop" quandry...the world may never know. lol

i remember this cj.....

i donated the collector mags (2) from my collection,
both were shipped the next day the auction closed.
If memory serves correctly, Ken and FM won them.

Also, through no fault of the "donator" (for lack of a better word), I have paid and still have to collect on 2 winning bids that require a personal visit.

somehow, i can picture you with that nickname....

whats worse, is you definitely can be pictured sitting in stoibers bar, crunching peanuts, eating pizza, and quaffing a few ice cold frosty beers,

chances are i have seen you there or at least shared a puke tree with you between the docks and the round house.
:biglaugh:

If you've ever heard of any of the following, then you probably met me
there before i knew you here.

a) Dock Trash
B) "On The Rocks" (Boat Name) or "Scruples" (previous)
c) SCCA Solo Racing On The Square
d) The idiot that (on a dare) swam from South Bass to Lonz Winery....
e) Dockmaster (still have the badge) for b and c dock.
f) Dirty Don's (Casino) on Kelleys Island (now owned by the Godfather of my first kid)...sometimes i think he was the real father hahahahahahaha&copy

many memories

if we ever tried a WM party or gathering, we'd probably have to do kelleys
island.....
(or better yet Pelee)

PIB has gotten too "family oriented"....jeez...
you can"t even pass out at 2 in the afternoon anymore in the square without getting thrown in the hooskow.
<sp?>

(then pay your $100 fine that never seems to show up on your record back on the mainland)

Do you know that our "Dock Trash" group raised the money to rebuild the baseball field across from Parkers?
