View Full Version : Anyone not promoting swoit...
... should get with the program!!!
Swoit is converting 1:30 for me (over the last 3 days) from clickthru traffic...
Of course this is prequalified traffic - and any spillage goes back into the loop...
Anyone who would like to take advantage of a marketting site for Swoit, which will allow you to sell it to your surfers and sell it HARD, while still keeping the traffic that isnt interested, give me a shout on ICQ 3523650..
I can set you up with a page on Bang4YourBuck.info - with your Swoit codes, and your requested Exit URL.. Clickthrus from this page are converting 1:50 - 1:30 - no shit.
What do I get out of it? I launch a small blur console, with no exits of its own, to try and cover bandwidth etc...
See http://www.bang4yourbuck.info/wow.html for an example of a page set up for another webmaster, and the blur that comes along with it.
The best way to use this page IMHO is to make it your first exit console, or Blur, and exit it to a nice free trial / email join sponsor or the like...
The people at swoit loved this page, and the hard sell so much, they adopted much of the text for use on their homepage... (with permission)
So, I look forward to hearing from people! Lets sell this mofo like a beeyotch (so to speak!)
I'm also interested in other peoples experiences with swoit so far....
Chime in if you have anything to say about swoit - be it good or bad.

Hi Everyone,
Hey Serge!!
Yer, the issue is on GFY - all cleared up - someone posted using her daughters address to the signup process on one of our sites. Poor Lady..
Anyway d0se, thanks for all the great kudos. Your traffic *is* doing really well, congrats. I am buying some targeted traffic from pageseeker.com and it's doing pretty well too..
We are really ramping up signups at the moment, partners will begin to start seeing much better funds for their paysites shortly :)
If anyone has any Swoit related questions - feel free to hit me up here or at steve AT swoit.com directly.
Thanks and nice to meet everyone
Steve

Hi Steve!
Swoit looks like a great program and I wish you all the best. I signed up as partner and will sign up as affiliate.
I have a few questions and need clarification on a few things:
I don’t really understand the pay-out. In the admin section on http://partners.swoit.com it says that the total amount is split on a 40% revenue share between ALL webmasters. Then I’m reading the FAQ and it talks about limiting each member of Swoit to one hour viewing per site. It then goes on to say that the longer they view, the more I make. Please explain this.
I understand that Swoit’s approval process will make sure that sites are unique and won’t allow cookie cutter, multi-sites which different facades, that’s great- however, would it be possible for us to create a separate mirror or members directory just for the Swoit members for tracking purposes?
If you limit the time to an hour in viewing per day, is it possible fro that viewer to decided to do directly to site to join so that he/she may have unlimited access? In other words is there a chance to have an up-sell?
Is it possible for webmasters to get a logon to view the actual members area of Swoit?
Finally- I have a site that is free on the front end but requires another level of access to see videos & galleries. I assume that if I wanted to list this site (http://www.othersex.com ) I'd only be submitting the members area? What if this is a new site? Is there a quota on the amount of content at a site for approval even if the site is updated weekly?
Thanks- now approve my sites! Lol
Kisses,
Dianna

Hi Dianna!

Thanks! Welcome aboard, hope we can make you some good $$
..It then goes on to say that the longer they view, the more I make. Please explain this
Sure - members, when the open your site, get a one hour block by default. They can close down your site after 3 minutes, and that's fine. However if they leave the browser open an go to bed, the maximum they will accumulate is one hour.
However, if they are surfing your site, and their one hour is coming up, they can click on an 'extend' button that gives them another one hour block - so they can keep surfing your site as long as they want, and you keep accumulating minutes which means more $$
would it be possible for us to create a separate mirror or members directory just for the Swoit members for tracking purposes?
Yes that is absolutely fine :) Thanks for checking with us first.
Is it possible for webmasters to get a logon to view the actual members area of Swoit?
Sure we'll do this for any webmaster who asks - just hit me up on ICQ
What if this is a new site? Is there a quota on the amount of content at a site for approval even if the site is updated weekly?
That is fine - as long as it is a legitimate paysite and it's something people will want to visit. We are essentially trying to ensure that none of those password site style member areas don't join us (which are all just filled with advertising and upselling)
Let me know if you have any more q's - happy to answer them!

Ok thanks- I'm still a little confused about something...
Webmasters are paid by the amount of minutes they accumlate from site viewing?
Maybe I missed something here. In one section it says it's a split between all webmasters. Then I read it's about minutes. Where si the minute break down?
Let's say a viewer stays at my site for a full hour. How much did I just make?
Thanks,
Dianna

Hey Dianna
Minutes are the number of minutes all the Swoit members spend on your sites.
At the end of each day, we look at the total number of minutes you have accumulated for that day compared to the total minutes for all sites (ie.a percentage).
Then we just apply that percentage to 40% of our entire daily rebills.
So 100 minutes 1 day might give you $20
Then 100 minutes another day may give you $800 - it all depends on the day :)

It sounds all good in theory. Is the accounting done real time in stats/admin?
The concept is really cool. It’s not like anything I’ve seen before and I think you’ve got a real winner here Steve. If the affiliate end works well and you get tons of traffic, some webmasters will do very well. Then again, as you’ve mentioned, there’s the webmasters who will try and treat it like an AVS and use it purely for up-selling and use a little content as possible. The billable view minutes make it fool-proof in a sense.
I’m excited about it. I just may build some new sites to cover some of the niches on sites you don’t have there.
When do you expect to start getting some traffic?
Anyone who hasn’t taken the time to look at this, it’s really a great idea. It’s basically paying you to serve content in your member’s area. Or you can easily promote the program via the affiliate program because something like this will retain really well. It’s giving subscribers a chance to join dozens of sites all for the price of one. If you’ve got a great site subscribers want to bookmark, stay on and return to, you’ll make money that way. If you send traffic you make money every month even if you don’t have a site.

Swoit looks great and it one helluva good idea... but I got a quick question Steve
Do my paysites have to be billing credit cards before I sign up to swoit or can I sign up as a partner and let swoit worry about all the billing?

Hi Trev, nice to meet you!
From a paysite point of view, Swoit works in co-operation with whatever you are doing now. You don't have to do anything differently! I think you might be under the impression that you have to 'switch over' to it or something, but Swoit is really useful as an additional source of income from your paysites, not a replacement!
By the way, we've just introduced free trials for affiliates. We're seeing some wicked conversions now and retentions are looking *Very* strong.
Anyone with exit traffic or ex member traffic would do very well out of this kind of thing.
Let me know if I can help any more!!
Thanks,
Steve
Thanks Steve :D
I just wanted to clear that up in my own head. :rokk:
trev, if you mean could you just add a members section that didn't have a frontend attached, the answer is maybe. show us what the members area looks like and if its of the standard of a paysite members area then i don't see why not ...
i have an idea of how to do what you are asking, hit me up on icq or email if you want to try a few things ...

I've got front ends (3 or 4 need redoing)
but I'm wanting to get that little extra (aint we all) and I think this is a really good idea.
but I got one question you posted this in your stats:
2003-05-03 6:17:06 $11.23
$11.23 for someone to be in your members area for 6 hours, is this enough to cover your bandwidth/server costs
must read my posts before hitting submit, then I wouldn't need to edit them

The amount you receive all depepnds on the rebills for that day.
For example, one day we might have a small rebill day, so '6 hours' is worth $11.
Another day we might have a great bill rebill day, and 6 hours is worth $50!
As time goes by and our rebill database grows, this will always increase. We are only new and still building :)
Thanks

That's just two days and as you can see only 20 min each site. Remember mine are niche. This program is just ramping up. I think it's going to do really well.
Trev, that's a good idea about putting up sites just for SWoit but may not be cost effective... I guess that depends on the sites, right? Then you need to configure .htaccess I suppose so that it's secure except for swoit. But then again why not just add a simple billing system and let it roll.

Me likes your thinking :D
>>$11.23 for someone to be in your members area for 6 hours, is this enough to cover your bandwidth/server costs
Trev, its probably barely enough, but i'm not really concerned yet ... i've been watching the swoit admin stats grow over the 2 weeks since launch and i know what these guys are capable of ...
this is a project i want to watch long term, because it totally relies on a volume of users ...
you may be wondering what incentive you have to get started now? eventually swoit will stop accepting new paysites, to avoid the pie being divided too small ...
trev, if you set up those paysites with billing etc, there's a few things you can do to add extra income streams ... advertise swoit to your cancelling members, and also to your exiting surfers. You can say 'get my site plus stacks of others' ... then you get paid $15 recurring per month for the surfer signup and a share of 40% for having your members areas in there ... it starts to add up ;-)
