There are three kinds of evil IMHO.


The first is just the simple twisted fuck who does things like rapes, murders, armed robberies etc. Just straight forward acts of evil by people who just plain aren't very smart.

The second is similar to the first but they have an intelligence behind what they do. They are less likely to be caught and are very intelligent, cunning, and calculated.

The third type would be the manipulative types. The best example of that would be Al Pacinoi's devil character in the movie Devil's Advocate. people who have the ability to push, pull, prod others to bring out the absolute worst qualities in them. They can zoom in on people's frailties and personality traits and exploit them to bring out the worst in them.

In the third category. People are seduced by the words, goals, and vision put forth by a person and use the excuse of I was just following orders." to try and weasel their way out of supporting the leader. Classic example would be Hitler. The man is the most vile piece of shit ever but is easily one of, if not the, greatest public speakers of all time. The man knew how to play to a crowd and push every button to get he people hooked into what he wanted that millions were able to casually look away and ignore the realities.

Evil is any action, thought, impulse or desire that goes against the "general" consensus of what is acceptable human behavior. What is deemed to be "acceptable" or not "evil" is the kind of thing governments and religious institutions decided for us way back when.

That aside I've done what many class as "evil" acts in my life so my take on what is "evil" is a little looser that most. Many believe (my Catholic Mother included) that pornography is "evil", I say there are bigger evils to worry about ie: Child Abusers/Pornographers.


But hey I guess it's each to their own.
