Hey, I'm new to this board, but I have been led to post here by one of your fellow members.
To cut to the chase, Jokaroo Entertainment, Inc. is seeking an investor. Before I get into elaborate details, I'll just run a quick summary of what we are looking for.
Our sites:
http://www.jokaroo.com [flagship site]
http://www.jokedollars.com [Affiliate promotion for jokaroo.com]
The investment would be directly used for promotion and upgrading our members section. Specifically, the promotion would be used for pushing subscribers to our subscription based model...
Lastest Press Release on the model:
http://www.prweb.com/releases/?57891
You may already notice that we focus on adult humor and you maybe skeptical on the successful implementation of this model. But with recently introducing this program, I can conclusively say we have had success. Our community forum, which is extremely active, seems to have a very positive impact on retention. We require a full subscription in order to post on our forums (4,000+ members) and we allow all guests read access only. Our members section includes a database of hundreds of funny movies and commericals. There are also many other features and benefits to our subscription.
In essence, the investment we need is for updating our members section to include the Flash Communication system. This would enable video and audio chat which will be integrated on our forum. In addition, we are looking for a cash injection to increase the base number of subscribers. This can be possibly achieved by purchasing private newsletter campaigns, or entering in with a network like Commission Junction (http://www.cj.com).
If you have any interest, or in any way able to help please contact me immediately.

how much cash infusion are you looking for?
hiya jokaroo!
don't forget to let oprano webmasters know when you have the joke content plugin ready for paysites ... there's lots of paysite owners around here always looking for new things to feature in their sites.
welcome to oprano!

Jokaroo has been around on the mainstream side and successful for quite a long time.

Hey guys, thanks for the nice compliments. I really appreciate it.
Going back to the plugin, well are looking to integrate a "fun corner" on as many paysites as possible. We are working on integrating randomly displayed content for you to put in your members section, and then a link which goes back to our join page. We can payout 40%-50% down the middle for life via revshare.
As for a sufficient amount, I think anywhere around 25k. But we are always open to smaller investments, and ofcourse, larger ones. Anything helps.

I was looking at 50% of all the subscription revenues until that $25,000 is paid back in full. Following the initial full payback, you'd own 25% until you get a 40% ROI.
If you have any suggestions, I'm open to negotiation.

Flash Communication software. Enterance into Commission Junction. And private promotion.
Flash communication software will probably run us a good $10,000 in 4 to 5 months. Getting into Commission Junction would run us $10,000, and another $5,000 for private promotion.

What is Flash communication software ??
I didnt know cj.com charges $10k just to get in
Look into http://darkblue.com/ They're free to join.
Just my observation but if you have 4000+ paying members at $9.95 each = $40k a month. I would think you shouldnt have too much trouble reinvesting some of that money back into the site .

Let me start off with the 4,000 members a month. That is true, but over 4,300 are free memberships. We let people signup for free prior to making it a pay per signup. We needed to build an active community before switching over the the pay system.
Cj.com and darkblue.com can not be compared. We currently have an affiliate program with shareasale.com and clixgalore.com. A darkblue acount has already been made, and we will be looking to make the first deposit soon. But like I said, the volume that a cj.com can provide, cannot be compared to small time networks. If you want to make it big in the mainstream, you need to get in with either Linkshare ($10,000), CJ.com ($6,000 + deposit), Performics.com (price unknown), or Befree, since these networks have mass email marketers under their belt.
Your final question... What is Macromedia Flash Communication? This should explain it the best.
http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashcom/
It looks like the prices went down, but they still charge you for sockets... I think.
As for the whole swamping $25,000... we'd definitely work with you and get your permission on how we spend it. And we'd try to make it as effective as possible.
don't support cj.com
i want them to go out of business so i can pick up the domain
:biglaugh:
Jokaroo, darkblue has enough webmasters sending traffic that you don't need to spend $6k on setup to start testing how an affiliate program will work for you ... take baby steps, do it without an investor, and i think you'll come off 10 times better in the long run.
lots of folks around here who i know would love to trial a site like yours with adult traffic ... put up the easiest affiliate software you can find and start testing.
there's no data in chit chat ;-)

Yup, will definitely give Darkblue a shot in the short term. I think Shareasale.com is the biggest of the smaller networks though, and they are doing decent as of late. Adding another network to our list, definitely won't hurt us though.
As for setting up a plugin for membership sites, we do have something in the making and I will be updating you on that within the coming weeks. Lots of stuff happening in and around here!
