I guess that means dont bother waiting for Salem Pax to re-appear anytime soon :(

Wonder if this power outage is part of the plan... seems the idea was to keep life easy for the people to start with.

I have never thought that was a good war strategy. maybe a nice idea of possible.. but a bad strategy.

Good day in Baghdad to burn your Ba'ath ID card and shave your mustache.

Report: Coalition attacking forces guarding Baghdad airport.

Also, [CNN] "Iraqi forces have moved elements of as many as four regular Army divisions near Saddam International Airport as part of the effort to stop the U.S.-led forces advancing on Baghdad, U.S. officials said Thursday."

Colin, I heard on Fox that we are moving in to take the airport....

Might be a big battle brewing. With the lights out in Baghdad, I would not want to be an Iraqi soldier right now in the city.

Yeah, I'm on Fox too.

CENTCOM spokesperson says this is not a coalition blackout [Fox}

Combined with coalition attack on airport, kinda strange timing. [Fox}

Some confirmation on the airport:

"Artillery fire can be heard near the airport, and artillery shells are exploding in the air.

Officers of the 3rd Infantry Division told an Associated Press reporter assigned to the unit that the attack on the airport has begun".

Wonder why power is out? Would be nice if there was some kind of coup....

We have a secret weapon against Saddam - might be time to use them!

Mike AI - I hope you are right!.... I hope people in the Iraqi army think more about their own life, then of just 1 bad person - Saddam.

Things are diffently going on right now.. some lights in the sky and more than usual trucks on the live feed from Baghdad I´m watching... wonder how long they will continue with live feeds from Baghdad...

I'm wondering about the blackout too.
Methinks the regime did it so that when daylight comes they can show a bunch of blown-up civilians and say that we did it.
That, or it's another attempt to foil attacks (harder to see a big palace when it's not lit up like disneyworld)... or both.
