They mentioned today they believe there was torture involved. They also said she took out a few iraqis when they ambushed her team. basically shooting them until her ammo ran out even after she had been shot a couple times her self.

Glad shes on her way home and I agree about the ranger and seals that went in kick ass job. :okthumb:

All I can say is when I heard this I got a warm fuzzy feeling that I don't regularly get - I mean, this 19 year old girl went down fighting - shooting her wouldbe captors until she ran out of ammo! We need more americans like Jessica - makes me proud to be an american, and proud to have women like her on our side! I wish we had a saluting smilie!

hopefully we will hear more news about her later tongiht. Supposedly her dad told fox news that he didnt believe they said she had any gunshot wounds and that her legs were in fact broken, and that its possible it was a collarbone fracture as opposed to a broken arm. I think theres going to be a bunch of conflicting reports until we hear the official...

Just also heard that a soldiers automatic weapon discharged and killed him during his sleep... sounds like the pressure is getting to some of them :( kinda reminds me of reports in the paper of a local police chief accidentally killing himself while cleaning his weapon... you can't clean a gun with one in the chamber...

Im not saying its not possible that he was asleep with the safety off and it discharged but... in fact i almost hope it is the case for morale sake.
