I have an acquaintance that I'd rather not bring to the adult boards who's looking for some REAL conversations about current events. He's smart, conservative, ex-military and knows I like message boards so was asking for advice :awinky:

Anyone know of some good ones? (in English, Serge :agrin: )

Hiya Peaches,

One of the biggest war blogs right now is The Agonist (http://www.agonist.org). It's agonist.org instead of .com... The guy who owns it posts news about the war and then there is a comments area for people to discuss...

For the liberal debate there is Daily Kos (http://www.dailykos.com), and for the folks on the right there is Tacitus (http://www.tacitus.org).

I've been reading The Agonist all week as well as the others. Of course there are the wackos on both sides of the fence, but just like any message board there is some excellent information there...

You know how Mike's spelling is. haha Actually, The Agonist made a post today that after an hour long interview the reporter said his site was agonist.com instead of .org...

You gotta get that .com address when you're buying a domain. :awinky:
