The French only give a shit about their money, their interests. We're accused of being in this for money, well, the French have their precious arms contracts and their cheap oil contracts and that's what they're defending.

They don't give a shit about the morality of this war or Sadam at all.

It is being reported that they are actually "Miffed" about be excluded from contracts in the post saddam iraq

I know you must be calling all those fries, freedom fries now hugh?? :)

I could care less about the french really, I was only pissed as they were part of Nato, and should of given some support. but I know it was mostly internal politics, well and also that most of the world dislikes our president :(

I thought the freedom fries was kind of stupid, but then I read this, and changed my mind... We are a sophisticated country!

Speaking of embarrassment, a lot of people are embarrassed by the renaming of French fries "freedom fries" and so on. I have commented on this before — quite recently. But let me have another whack at it, because I was with some friends last night who were clucking over the "stupidity" of such actions.

To me, they're harmless — they're an innocuous venting of steam, by people who are not unjustified in their steam. And what do they do in Europe when they want to get something off their chest? Oh, I don't know: beat some Jews with bars; carve a Star of David into some girl's wrist; burn a few synagogues; deface a Statue of Liberty copy; defile a 9/11 memorial.

You read the papers, don't you?

If they'd simply rename foodstuffs, I wouldn't utter a peep. In fact, it would be a relief.

you are correct, I have been seeing that "trend" happening more and more. It scares me you know. well not for my safety, but for what my kids will grow up in...

can't we all just discuss and argue politics all the time. Damm religion always has to come into shit. blame them, blame us, etc.

but been happ. for thousands of years, mabey some day ppl will get wise.

i am disappointied in our administration.

as soon as france and germany declared that they were NOT part of the coalition, their war debts should have been in default and due immediately.

freeze their assests

lock them out of imports and exports

return their diplomats to home turf


THEN ask them again.
