Forest,

Where are you getting your info from?
I have been up all night, the tv has been
on while I work, and I have heard nothing
of pow's being killed by Iraqis.
I checked all news sites, and nothing.
Are you talking about the pilot that "might"
have been shot down that they "might" be looking
for?

For reference, a link:

Arab TV Shows Captured American Troops (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&cid=540&e=1&u=/ap/20030323/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_prisoners)

The Arab satellite station Al-Jazeera aired footage from Iraqi television Sunday of interviews with what the station identified as captured American prisoners, and also showed bodies in uniform in an Iraqi morgue that it said were Americans.

Very Disturbing Images. But it puts this in perspective.

hmmm, very disturbing for sure, but one thing strikes me as being
a bit odd.
These are probably the real deal pics, I would hope not, but the
soldiers seem to be wearing conventional woodland bdu's.

Thus far, I havent seen any American or British troops wearing
anything but desert bdu's.

A lot of the soldiers going over to join in the war have not had time to get their desert camo gear. I was over there twice and one of the times we did not recieve our desert gear till after we got there. Some people had to wait a few days if they had sizes that were not immediately in stock at our supply area.
I know a few people that have gone from America to Kuwait in the last week or so and were out in the desert doing their job within 24-48 hours of arriving. The combat soldiers get priority when issuing desert gear. The soldiers that were caught were a maintenance outfit that was in the rear behind the combat and probably hadn't recieved their desert gear yet.

Watching ABC, I just seen a whole platoon in woodland bdu's.

Guess I just havent been paying THAT much attn to their
dress.

Wishful thinking I guess on my part.
