Wow.. this is unbelievable !!
KUWAIT CITY (AP) -- A command tent at the 101st Airborne Division camp in Kuwait was attacked early Sunday with grenades, and 14 soldiers were wounded, four seriously, military officials said. An American soldier was detained as a suspect, the Army said

i have been watching this unfold on various news channels for about 7 hours ... to start with they thought it was one of the 'helpers', then terrorists, now they have an american soldier in custody?!?!?!?
totally unbelievable ... i wonder if we will ever know what actually happened
billy, that article you posted ... this paragraph ... pretty heartwrenching
"I get a little worried but when I think I should be crying, I'm not," said Chelsey Payne of Clarksville, Tenn., whose husband, Sgt. Robert Payne, is with the division. "I just don't get scared about my own husband, I just know that he's a good soldier and he's coming home. He promised me."

Yes this thing have me steamed!!
We should turn the guy over to Pakestan or Israel to be "interviewed" for a few weeks. Then execute him with a firing squad!

i imagine that it is a capitol offense on so many different levels that he will most likely face the death penalty anyway. if he really lobbed grenades into the tents of the commanding officers, then i would think that they would definately have to go the distance with that case.

I just can't even imagine. Just got home from a purposeful "day away from it all" and am still too shocked to even be angry... yet.
Imagine the shame, shock, and horror that soldier's family is feeling right now.
There's one in every family - unfortunately this one just embarassed his American family in public and by doing something MORE than just stupid.
I'm sure more will come out on this, but like CJ said - not all truths...

Mike, it doesn't happen often, but I agree with you 100%.
I'm also pissed at the news with running with the story before really knowing what happened. Blaming those big bad wolf terrorists and the arab helpers...then finding out...oops, may have been one of our own...
Some days I'd rather remain blissfull in my ignorance than know what the truth really is.....
