i think that megalomaniacal dictators with all of their "we will fight to the last breath" rhetoric usually pussy out at the moment of truth.
he is definately in a corner. What will happen? is he the ultimate survivor? or just living on borrowed time? everyone agrees he will never go into exhile because he cannot feel safe anywhere. Being as paranoid and afraid as he is, i doubt he is ready to become a martyr.
The US suspected he was under the Al Rashid hotel in a bunker during Desert Storm and they sent a missile into the lobby of the hotel (much to the shock and dismay of the journalists living in the hotel).
Would they try something like that again? I think that everyone against Saddam will go the extra mile this time to take him out.
