I have to agree - I expected to see an email with a glowing recommendation, not one that reamed a competitor. :(

Edited to add that it looks like I don't agree much with cj if I HAVE to agree, lol! Quite the contrary - I agree with her 99.9% of the time - just wanted to clarify that since things sometimes get misconstrued via Ye Ol' Message Boards :awinky:

When our contract was to expired at UUNet 2½ years ago, and we were talking with their sale reps, then each and everytime we meantion another provider name, then they immediately had "dirt" on them, which they forwarded to us... Scanned news articles, links to news sites, paid consult reports, and just plain board/chat rumors - everything which could be used to hurt the other providers image. UUNet were busy telling us "Provicder A is really bad", "Provider B is even worse" etc. - they actual forgot to sell their own product to us... when we left them, then their last words to us were "you will be back, when you want real service again".... we have not hosted at UUNet/Worldcom since :rolleyes:

Rolo, I get the same a lot ...
anyone who feels the need to bag their competitors repeatedly can't have much faith in their own product ...

i don't see the company that was being bagged posting emails on message boards from prospective clients
