What do you think BW will cost once this is in place?

Hopefully close to nothing... But hosting companies do not need to fear... with more BW, then people will demand more BW heavy things like video, and when BW prices fall, then webmasters will get more and more sloppy with how much their content/videos are optimize.

Same happen with computers - they are getting bigger and faster every day, but at the same speed software is getting bigger and slower every day, so all the extra power is used.
I think in 10 years many of us will be sitting infront of our computer writing some e-mail, and windows will say "low system resources - you only have 821 GB left - please delete content in recycle bin"

I think that this is another sign that "convergence" is getting closer... still not that close, but closer...

That will be a great day for porn... internet direct to your bigscreen. :-)

The team was able to transfer uncompressed data at 923 megabits per second for 58 seconds

uncompressed date. like sending text. simple protocol compression compress that data about 5-10fold.

so that's like 200mbps...

bah, I really dont see how this is a record...
