I AM dating the internet.
I know of a few couples in our industry that met online, chatted for months/years and then married. Seems pretty successful from what I've seen so far.

I looked at match.com after I found out Wig's cute, smart funny brother was there (I thought they were all married freaks that signed up). All the profiles said they didn't like sarcastic women - that ruled me out, lol :P
I went out for quite a while with a guy I met on a non-dating message board, but that was because a mutual friend vouched for him. One thing working in this industry has taught me is that there are a lot of men (and probably women, too) that live one life in the real world and another on the internet :(

Well we didn't really meet through online dating but,
Jen and I had originally met and gone out for a while back in 1986 or 1987... We split up, for no reason that either of us remembers now, and went our seperate ways...
Years later I realized that I was a fool and started looking for her... Using my knowledge of her and the tools afforded by the internet, I found her and got back in touch (that was 1998). We have been married since June of 2000 and so far, so good :)

Isn't that the truth!
Question is, which of you wears the pants in the relationship?

My girlfriend is the fourth - and was going to be the last, btw - person I met online. The first three were, um, somewhat truth impared. The first one sorta rounded off her age down 12 years (kept it consistent with the picture she used); the second one rounded down her weight by roughly the equivalent of a VW Beetle, and the third one rounded both of the above and apparenly was on day leave from the local state mental hospital.
Good luck!!

Pornodoggy, that is too funny....my friend Lana, who swings, says the couples that show up from an Internet connection are usually 10 years and 100 pounds from the photos they sent.
A VW Bettle though?? That is just wrong!

I think I would lie the OTHER way - say I was 10 years older and 50 pounds heavier than I am. Then when they met me, I'd look damn good! :bjump:

Right on Peaches...the old underpromise, overdeliver. Bada Bing!
You are one hell of a woman....some Internet man would be lucky to have you....if he could get up your road. LOL

Peaches: Or in this case would it be overpromise and underdeliver?
I'm confused.....

i see this as an interesting trend on threaded boards.
ask a question no matter how stupid it is that engages the board into answering it. It s a nice cheap way of promoting your program. Board whores will always read the first post and mostly likely read the sig part as well.
You can also increase the exposure by asking the same Q on 10 different boards at once :)

I'll delete it when I see it, you are 100% right
Those who are skilled in archery bend their bow only when they are preparing to use it; when they do not require it, they allow it to remain unbent, for otherwise it would remain unserviceable when the time for using it arrived. So it is with man. If he were to devote himself unceasingly to a dull round of business, without breaking the monotony by cheerful amusements, he would fall imperceptibly into idiocy, or be struck by paralysis
