Just to clarify, on the first 3 choices...

"He" is Saddam Hussein, not George Bush......

Just want to make sure,... ya know

edited to remove a poor joke....

You left out the choice
The US should just bomb the fuck out of Iraq and TAKE their oil on general principle (and so we don't have to pay $2.00 a gallon for gas) and that the US taking over Iraq and installing a puppet govement will make the world a better place for all

What I want to know is who is the other idiot on this board - besides me - who thought that Saddam was a hero of the working class and should have a national holiday named after him?

(do the math yourself, i'm sick of converting to the stupid imperial system for 1 single country which should have been changed to metric decades ago when the rest of the world switched) :P

I hear ya CJ, but it seems we are lower than you at this point....

.68-.75 per litre these days here in BC...and from what I hear back east in Toronto, they are around the same....

We're paying $1.03 a litre and when war breaks out they estimate that it will go as high as $1.30

The usual price is around 0.98cents a litre.

Just another reason for the US to take over the :snipe: middle east :P

and I will gladly switch to the metric system when the rest of the world speaks English :yowsa:

Well actually the two countries that matter speak some sort of English (UK and Australia) :D

Vick you should be :kapow: at dawn.

No self-respecting Aussie would ever admit to speaking any kind of English

When we're not :stout: beer and aren't :hic: then every self respecting Aussie talks Strine.

And that's fair dinkum :agrin:

I'm sure the meds will cut in soon and I will return to some level akin to normal[SIZE=1]

The English, well, they're okay ... don't know how to properly treat beer, maybe, and never met a food item aside from fish that they couldn't cook into unconditional surrender - but they're okay.

But the aussies ... I dunno. I never have figured out the whole deal with putting shrimp on some damn doll from Mattel. It's always seemed ... well, you know ... odd.

Yeah but that's what makes us so endearing.

We have that inate ability to take every other country's most cherished beliefs and favourite and sacred icons .......... and turn them into objects of derision and hilarity.

Doncha just :inlove: us?

No shit! Most Americans probably think of the metric system as "foreign", too foreign. We're probably further than ever from being in line with the rest of the world. Sad, because metric is SO much easier to work with.
