I'm trying to convince someone it involves housepainting....it's not going over very well........ :(
Bed rest, Alka Seltzer, and BC or Goody's powders - they work a LOT better and faster than regular aspirin (though don't take a packet out in Miami - you get a lot of really odd looks.........)
tylenol, lots and lots of water and then sleep for a couple of hours....you should wake up feeling lots better. B)
If not....try a milkshake....or something salty. :awinky:

Just leave that should cure it
:P
hair of the dog that bit you (drink some more of what caused the problem) is the only way if you need to get straight back to work :D (Really!)
otherwise lotsa water and a sleep ;-)

A bag of ice/pea's etc tends to quiet the thumping :)
a short lie down, lots of water and some toast & vegemite
( I'm not sure what the US equilivent is ? Marmite? the vitamin B component is the magic ingredient )
:)

Excedrine and sex, or sex and Excendrine, your choice :D
I thought a bacon double cheeseburger was the universal hangover cure, but it appears it's just an Aussie thing. :awinky:

Im not sure what it is, but those all you can eat chinese buffets work wonders man for me :D
Tomato juice and then about a half hour later a glass of milk (make mine chocolate). That will cure the tummy upsets... for the headache you should really use ibuprofen, it's not good on your liver to mix Tylenol and alchohol together.
Of course an ounce of prevention... I've heard that hangover prevention that Poppy has works wonders, though I haven't tried it --

Ahh, that is a good cure, however, it will kill you on the backend with the 1000+ calories, 80+ grams of fat and who knows how much sodium . . . how I long for a bacon double cheese burger . . . esp. a Carl's Jr. Double Western Bacon Cheese Burger . . . damn, I think I am going to cry . . . :cryin:

Mix mayo with scotch. Drink it really fast.
drink much water BEFORE you go to bed after a night of drinking :hic:
helps to keep from getting dehydrated which in turn helps keep the headaches and body aches away
and I CRAVE bacon in mass quantities the morning after drinking, not :bdance: and :cdance:

Ok, here's the scoop on hang-overs direct from Ms Party-Girl who raised a kid, went to school and worked. I don't do drugs but I love to drink.
First of all Vick is right. Lots of water before you go to bed & if you can eat some good proteins, even better. Eggs & bacon perfect.
One of the main reason I get a hang over is lack of sleep. I always wake up at 3 or 4 Am and lie awake for hours. You never really drift down into beta sleep so when you finally do get up you feel like shit. If you wake up with a serious hangover or before you go to bed take a sleep aid, not to much, normally I take benedryll because I also get stuffy. If I can get good sound sleep I'm cool.
If I know I fucked up and will pay the next day I have a little ritual and as long as I can make it through before I pass out, I wake up feel ok. Not 100% but ok. I take a shower no matter how bad I feel. I drink lots of water. I eat and take benedryl. I make the room really cold, crawl under the blanket & then pass out. I always make the room really dark anyhow. I can't sleep if it's not.

My name's PornoDoggy, and I'm a .... er, um, well, I've found that the easiest hangover cure is don't drink. The alternative, of course, is never sober up. If you switch from the 2nd alternative to the first, it only hurts for the first three years. :)

In the appropriate areas of the United States, White Castles work wonders on a hangover. The resulting gatrointestinal side affects can sometimes have less than postive affects on relationships, air quality, and has been know to damage older plumbing; but the hangover is barely noticable.

Krystals can be substituted for White Castles if you find yourself trapped in the South :bjump:

That's true ... I'll tell you what. You walk into a White Castle around 6 o'clock in the morning still in the netherworld between drunk and hung over, catch a wiff of the aroma of an entire grill covered with onions, and you learn the true meaning of "What doesn't kill you will make you stronger."

The Awful Waffles are ALWAYS good :rokk: Plus they're open 24/7/365 I think they build them w/o locks on the doors :okthumb: Even in my little town we have one.

water
water
at room temperature so you can drink it quickly and lots of it
most important thing to getting rid of any kind of hangover (not just the alcohol kind!!) is a really intense detox ...
best way to do this is water, sauna & spa
drink a litre of water, spend 10 minutes in the sauna, then 20 in the spa while drinking another litre of water
repeat 3 times ... you'll feel better than before you had the hangover!!
a friend told me about this as a good way to clear toxin buildup from the system, i tried it at xmas time and have done it weekly since.

Well everyone has his or her own cures, but I have to say I am a self-proclaimed master in the area and every situation has a different cure.
If you can remember before you pass out, drink as much water as possible, :stout: take 4 Advil 'gentler on your stomach', eat all the leftovers in your fridge and prepare for a deep hibernation. You’ll wake up Golden.
If you wake up in the morning still drunk and wondering what the hell happened the night before, you’re better off than you think. Just follow the chant my buddies and I used in college “The only cure is the cause!” I find that an ice-cold Corona with a lime really brings things full circle. Then you have to get out and have some fun on the trails. (Biking, running, Frisbee golf…) Just something active to get the blood following and the sweat glands pumping out the booze.
Now if you can’t pull off a fun day of drunken merriment and actually have to ‘do’ something like go to work or to the in-laws for housework. :headwall: The best solution is to take some Alka-Seltzer ‘hangover relief’, eat two pieces of toast, four Advil and drink some water. It may take a little faking at first, but after about an hour you should be back up and ready paint the town by nightfall.
Happy drinking and remember to buy a couple cold ones for your drinking buddies :rokk:
