I've seen things like this posted several times but am not familiar with what exactly is being done and the benefit of it. What do you mean your looking to "buy signups"?

How does that work? Anyone care to enlighten me? :wnw:

Buying signups is just that - you purchase signups from a seller - not sure what else to explain ;-)

they're talking about pre-paying people who can send the amount of signups they are looking for. Private traffic deals. Webmasters in general, especially those who have good amounts of traffic, like their money upfront. Can't get any more 'upfront' than prepaid signups. That is why a program really isn't in the big leagues of affiliate programs unless they can pay per signup rather than revshare. Big traffic goes to per signup programs and always will - just a fact of life in the business.

Beware though - you can get burned prepaying for signups, get references from other people before you make a deal, people who have done biz with the seller before.

A follow up Q if you don't mind ...

To get the guarenteed sign-ups do these pre-pay dealers usually just send unlimited traffic until you reached your conversion amount ? If so what's the mechanics behind how they track that ?

No unlimited traffic. The seller of the traffic usually tries out the sites first to see if they are converting to his liking, after that a final deal can be made.
