40 minutes in, and I am hovering between shock and amusement...
Sometimes he is so disconnected you wonder how he functions, and sometimes he is so human that you want to cry.
Watching the shopping trip to the venetian now... it's almost sad.

To put it kindly, he has some "issues". I don't normally watch this sort of stuff but this is a car crash I couldn't turn away from.

As someone who's been to his house, I can tell you just by the layout of the place, he's still just a big kid in a man's body....definitely "issues".
For the record, I was at Neverland Ranch running the webcast for his father's birthday party a few years ago (a friend of mine is good friends with Joe) not to "enlighten" myself ;)
The man has his own amusement park, movie free standing theater, zoo, train (that winds around his estate) and an underground tunnel system to get back and forth between the various places. It looks like the dreamworld of a child...
While I could nor wou8ld ever excuse a lot of what he has done, I can sympathize on some levels. Imagine growing up in such a large spotlight and NEVER knowing whta privacy is. The man can't even take his kids to a park (except the one he had built on his estate). I can't imagine what it would be like to be that popular, yet that lonely. He could discover the cure for cancer tomorrow and would still be called "Wacko Jacko".
Anyways, I had a great time there and no this post wouldn't be covered in the non-disclosure contract presented to all of us when we reached the guard post in front of his place...since no one ever collected our copies ;)))
I wonder if he'd mind leasing his place out for a webmaster event? ;)))))

He was basically robbed of his childhood so I guess it's not that surprising but it is sad in a lot of ways.

I totally agree.
This is also why I don't want my kids pursuing a music or acting career (if that's what they want) until they are older.

Some of what he replied to those questions was strange for sure, but I also don't think he is capable of giving a really good interview based on his mistrust of an abusive media for the last 20 years. He even wrote a song called "Leave me Alone". They didn't listen.
Best word to describe Michael Jackson... eccentric.
Runner-ups would be.... lonely, abused, misunderstood, harmless.
I didn't get to see the interview....but....
Madness and genius are separated only by degrees of success.

He has already filed a complaint over the interview.

I got the feeling he was so lonely that he welcomed the interviewer and seemed to confide in him like he was a friend.......... he looked so disappointed when the interviewer wouldn't climb up the tree. :( I fell asleep half way thru it, but i feel real sorry for the guy from what i saw.
One thing, i was distracted, did he DENY getting a nose job?!?! I know he denied everything else, but THAT???

I was flipping back and forth and I do agree - he's led such a freaked out life, he's just not in touch with reality. But I don't think he should ever be left alone with a child. Ever. The only GOOD thing is that he does seem to be somewhat asexual.
And his poor kids seem like they are going to be just as screwed up. It was pitiful to watch. :(
The fact that he categorically denies having had more plastical surgery than two "nosejobs" (that he claims were done to be able to sing higher..), makes it hard to really believe anything else he says..
If it weren't for that obvious lie, I would think that he is harmless (even with kids). But Lord knows what else he is lying about, or can't remember..
:redance:
Greetings,
Art
I was really looking forward to the "freak show" as it had been promoted as such for so many days. I have to tell you, I didn't see much of a freak show.
I used to know Michael. We weren't friends by any means, but we went to elementary school together and he lived around the corner from me. He knew my name and I knew his name. I knew Randy more than I knew Michael. When I was in 6th grade, I was at his house twice, and I was never more uncomfortable in my life. There are many who believe you are a product of your environment, and those kids had one whacked out environment.
I do have to say that I was surprised at the show. Other than a few moments, he seems a lot more normal than I thought he was before I saw the show. Ok, the kids sleeping in his bed was weird (although he did say several times that he slept on the floor), feeding his baby was weird (it is OBVIOUS that was the first time he has ever fed THAT, or any other baby), and he is obviously lying about what plastic surgery he has, or has not had. Other than that, he seemed pretty OK for what he has to go through just to go shop at the Venetian. I also didn't find the shopping trip all that weird. I have been shopping with some of you and you aren't that much different. It is all a matter of scale.
The difference between me and Michael Jackson is how I would handle the fame. I would always travel with a lawyer, a stack of pre-copulation and pre-coitus agreements, and a big limo with a private area in the back with a bed. My lawyer would sit up front, and wherever I went, I would pick one of those hotties out of the crowd, put her in the limo where she would have a 1 hour document signing party with my lawyer and then take her into the back for some mobile fucking. Now that I think of it, I would probably do 2 or 3 hotties at a time so that more hotties would be able to partake of the JMM love machine. I am all about my fans. I am a busy man but I would always make time for the pussy! Of course for Michael, minors can't enter into contractual agreements, so maybe that is why he doesn't do that.
Anyway, certainly not as shocking as Barbara WaWa made it out to be. I certainly wasn't left speechless afterwards as she had promised.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm........... it seems kinda unanimous today the reaction to the Michael Jackson thing - most people feel sorry for him. He is a tortured person, somebody whose development was completely stunted and the money and fame enabled him to go this strange route without getting help.
The 'Peter Pan' persona he's wrapped himself in where he wants to be surrounded by young boys and live like one of them is disturbing but it is possible to understand it, he's not a very complicated person, he's very simple, little education.
BUT while people are empathizing with him there's also a real possibility that he is a pedophile, a pedophile who is ruining young lives, using his wealth and fame to satisfy his pedophilic needs.
Go to the Smoking Gun and read the court declaration by the kid in 1993
whose family sued Jackson for molesting their son. Jackson settled the case out of court - rumors are that it was over 15 million dollars.

While we were in bed, Michael Jackson put his hand underneath my underpants. He then masturbated me to a climax. After that Michael Jackson masturbate me many times both with his hand and his mouth

It's also how it's done. I understand their father was a real slave driver and since Michael was the real bread-winner from early on, you can imagine who got the biggest whipping..
There is one thing that did bother me about the interview, and that was seeing his kids.
Regardless of what he has done to his skin, or his face, his genes are still those of a black male.
So, take a look at Prince Michael..his oldest...how in the hell did he father a child THAT white and THAT blonde?????????
Makes you wonder.

He even wrote a song called "Leave me Alone". They didn't listen.
well, there may be reasons why they didn't leave him alone. Firstly, wether he claims he did it or not he did have child abuse case filed against him. I think that qualifies as news. Secondly, he arranges huge publicity stunts like floating a huge statue of himself down rivers in Europe and begs the press to attend. Just like Princess Diana who I know for a fact (remember, my hubby used to be a journalist) would have a 'friend' call and tip the press off about where she would be (times and all) and then complain afterward that they wouldn't leave her alone. You can't have it both ways.

I guess after sitting through the whole things ( while working, I will admit, but still saw the whole thing) that MJ is one screwed up kid. a 44 year old kid.
You could tell that there was a couple of things that have majorly shaped his view of the world: His father bugging him about the size of his nose (it was a real painful memory, you could see the reaction) and that very distinct memory of the park across from the studio that he couldn't play in because "he had to work".
Basically, when he was 10, he was an adult in a kid's body. He never really got a chance to play, to be a kids for very long - by 12 he was getting checks for $200,000 a month... he was the man of the house already.
I suspect that those two memories, along with never having a childhood has really shaped his views of the world.
I don't think MJ is a child molester, in that I don't think he has the mental ability to put it all together right - anyone who would be too shy to let Tatum O'Neil (as a younger girl) do him certainly would have relationship issues. But I don't think he would intentionally go out to harm a child.
His actions with his own kids, including the baby, show a total lack of understanding of what parenting is about. He is trying to hard NOT to be his father, to do everything NOT to put the kids in the public eye, not to be seen, not to be visible... it would be comical if it wasn't so sad and so bad for the children.
One weird, whacked out dude.

me either... I don't think he is even capable of such a thing.
He has pretty much been on his own since he was a kid. So he never really grew up. Look at all the stuff he had in his suite at the 4 Seasons.
It was set up like a child's room. Entirely for his own amusement and benefit.
The whole nonsense about him being a pedo is laughable. The press wants to make it look dirty. It isn't. How can he relate intellectually with adults when he (in his mind and own intellect) is still a child?
What I am waiting for now, is the next money hungry lawsuit.

This is very possible.
I had a friend in highschool....long blonde hair, blue eyes, freckles....I had no idea she had a black mother until I went to her house one day. Her father was white.
You would NEVER know by looking at this girl that she was half black. Even her sister was 'black' in the visual sense....
I saw the posts on this morning and realized I'd forgotten about the interview, but now after reading your views on it - I guess I'm glad we watched The Crocodile Hunter movie with the kids instead. (talk about sad and tragic - lol)
I did see a clip of him feeding the baby on the 'net today and you're right, it looked like the first time - he had no clue on how to feed that baby and "Blanket" just looked so sad and pitiful. I didn't see the other children but I can only imagine. :(

Is that even possible for a healthy man like MJ ??
A man needs sexual gratification in one way or another, i thihnk in some sick perverted way MJ gets that from having all those young boys around him.
re: his kids not looking black.
I have biracial friends and have met/know both guys and ladies, and all of them look like they have some black in them. Both the skin color and the hair type. In some ways they all look like Lenny Kravitz or his exwife and her sister.
Someone show me a biracial person (white/black) that looks ALL white.. white skin and very blonde STRAIGHT hair ??

Toronto Radio station had the following jokes:
What is MJ favorite TV show? "The Kids in the Hall"
How do you know that MJ has company? "There is a big wheel parked in the driveway"
How do you know when it's time to go to bed at MJ's house?
"When the big hand touches the little hand".

I heard somewhere that jackson was actually in financial trouble:
But he commented that he was still worth more than a billion - and look at the way he bought 90% of the store at the shopping trip to the venetian.
Anyone?? i know his last few albums havent sold well
