Interesting...at my husband's place of work, they are getting calls from guys who are getting called up to take off already. What's interesting is that they aren't getting letters like they did during the Persian Gulf war - they are getting phone calls telling them to report in 48 hours.

Looks like we're moving quickly, quickly, quickly on bringing in our reserve guys to this party.

It sounds selfish but I'm glad my son is under-age and my husband is old enough not to be called back. Of course both are PISSED at their age predicaments and wish they could be "out there" - lol But...I can't help but think of all the other wives and mothers who aren't as lucky as me.

Let's hope this gets over quickly.... :okthumb:

I truly respect and appreciate the "volunteer armed forces" of the United States.

We have the best armed forces on the planet, and they deserve our respect.

You don't have to agree with the war or conflicts to appreciate the protection they provide.

I personally won't take up arms until they are on our soil. At that point I can feel perfectly justified in protecting our country and freedom.

Until then I'll let the professionals handle the international matters.
