Took pics til the battery died on my camera today... what an awesome car event -- Don Johnson, Cheech Marin, Reggie Jackson, Mike Dunn, John Force, just amazing how many people love nice cars.

Big disappointment of the day (I'm sure for Barrett Jackson as well) was that nothing went over a million dollars. The '57 Jag got to 950,000 and didn't meet the reserve which was 1.3 million.

Oddly enough the imports and exotics didn't do so well today, but the American muscle cars kicked ass... the GT500E from Gone in 60 Seconds went for nearly 200k, Don Johnsons Barracuda from the Nash Bridges show went for more than 120... but a couple of beautiful imports -- 91 and 67 Ferraris didn't move since they didn't meet reserve... a couple others like a Ford GT40 had to have the reserve pulled off in order to move also...

KK,

I spent 4 hours watching it on Speed Channel last night.
Did you go to Firebird for the testing also?

Mike,
Did you buy the car in that condition or did you restore it.
It looks perfect.

Michael,
You'd have loved it, no doubt about that -- next year you and Katie should definitely come out --

mustang, was thinking about going to the track today actually but I have a ton of stuff to do so I am not 100% on it --

Is Bob W there? I'm debating between that and a football get-together, it's a long drive from my house...

Most amazing part of the day yesterday, thinking about it -- they were in the middle of bidding on an exotic, I dont even remember which one and right outside the tent they cranked up the Superboss -- everything just stopped and there wasnt one person inside not looking at the tent entrance, waiting to see what was coming in. 1200 hp... now that is a car ;)

Buzz I actually picked up the Buick in an auction, got a pretty good price. My guy has no done anything to it yet. Probably will need a new paintjob and a few other small things.

The car really drives well..... must be because its so heavy.

KK - My Camaro and Shelby both have custom exhaust systems, when they are cranked and revved - it is an amazing sound. not 1000 HP, but still nice.

I'm not sure if Bob is there or not. Haven't talked with him since I quit.
Sure wish I was there. It's about 20 outside and I could sure use some warm weather.
I will always remember Ron C. jumping about 3 feet in the air when that first
car did a burnout. :)
